My DH just tried to get near me and I couldn’t believe it. We are both just lying here sweltering. I can’t imagine doing anything that would make me more sweaty. Or touching his hot hot skin.

YANBU - it's too hot to hold hands never mind any further bodily contact.

YA so NBU - far far too hot here in Scotland. Even DH isn't sleeping with covers on and normally he's complaining about the cold and trying to snuggle in even when I'm roasting.

Dp didn't seem to mind.. Very hot and sweaty in London, but then cool shower together. Now down in Cornwall and it's positively cool with sea breeze 😉 he's been away for two weeks..

Not tonight but we have still been having sex regularly during the heat!

My DH is a 'cuddler' whereas I like space in bed. He does this thing though where he strokes my back whilst I sit and read for 5 mins.

Its driving me mad, its like a hot water bottle on my back right now and I just want to slap it away lol.

I am impressed by those who manage to do it despite the heat. I just can’t! I have lived in a hot country before but we had air con everywhere. But I guess people in the tropics without air con get used to it.

I close the windows at night and am often slightly cold in the mornings. Not ill, just don't live in the same place as OP. It's been max 23 or 24 here for weeks. That's not a heatwave and it's normal to be chilly in the morning if you've only got shorts on to bed or something.

Had to pop out late in the car last night - outer North London - and it was still 29C outside at 1am really ridiculous levels of heat! Still no rain or storms here either. The house is an oven. Neither of us are up for anything! Actually ended up lying top & tail cos i woke up and he was taking up too much space, couldn’t get comfy without touching him - we’re normally snugglers - so threw my pillow the other end to find spaaaaaaace.
