Read an article/interview Meatloaf did and he was saying that he won’t ever tour again, can barely get out of a chair etc

AIBU to listen to his music and be upset I’m not going to see him in concert ever again?! I’m 24 and only got to see him once! Sad

What singers / bands make you feel that way? Smile

@LookAtThatCritter I know it's not the same, but have you seen "bat out of hell"?

Playing in London right now. I really enjoyed it.

FourFriedChickensDryWhiteToast · 24/07/2018 18:12

Joe Strummer

Jengnr · 24/07/2018 18:14

I had a ticket for Nirvana. :(

Few mentioned here I would’ve loved to see.

@snoopey had the privilege of seeing Scott a few times (four I think) with Velvet Revolver. He was one of the best!

BlitzingBlaze · 24/07/2018 18:14

Yeah but Rick Parfitt was a massive cunt to his kids (my cousin went to school with his son). Awful man.

A friend of mine saw Price and said he was amazing, there wasn't an instrument there he couldn't play. Incredible.

BlitzingBlaze · 24/07/2018 18:16

*Price = Prince

GiBlues · 24/07/2018 18:17

Elvis Presley 😔

NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking · 24/07/2018 18:18

Any Winehouse... easily.

The others are sad, but for the most part they’d given us s lifetime of their work, or had already achieved greatness. I feel Amy had only given us a small taste of what was to come.. and now we’ll never know.

I still actually get sad when I think of it.

WonderTweek · 24/07/2018 18:19

Hands down Freddie Mercury. I was 7 when he died so wouldn’t have been possible anyway, but I’ve been a huge fan since pretty much toddlerhood. Flowers

I did see David Bowie live though and he played Under Pressure so that’s something eh?

lizzybennett1926 · 24/07/2018 18:19

I've seen meatloaf twice hands down the best live act I've ever seen. Sorry to hear that he's so sick.
I wish I'd seen Amy Winehouse :(

BlitzingBlaze · 24/07/2018 18:20

Phosphorus Nick Cave is amazing live, if you can then definitely see him.

FlameCrestedTanager · 24/07/2018 18:22

David Bowie.

I saw him live twice but it's still not enough. Deeply regret not going to New York and waiting for him to arrive when Lazarus opened.

IJustLostTheGame · 24/07/2018 18:22

Kurt Cobain
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Prince

Saw David bowie finishing off Glasto 2000. He was awesome.

lizzybennett1926 · 24/07/2018 18:23

Oh and i wish I could remember seeing Freddie Mercury I went to Wembley but was only 5

SadieHH · 24/07/2018 18:25

That's sad to hear. Love a bit of Meatloaf. That's one of the reasons I make sure I always see Blondie whenever they are over in the U.K. I dread waking up and hearing that news.

lastnamefirstfirstnamelast · 24/07/2018 18:25

Deffo George Michael, I cant listen to a different corner without getting teary.

WhentheDealGoesDown · 24/07/2018 18:25

Leonard Cohen, saw him 3 times but won’t ever again Sad
Doubt I will ever see Tom Waites again, he rarely tours now

Bowerbird5 · 24/07/2018 18:26

Leonard Cohen. I wanted to go again on his last tour as a guy sitting near us spoilt a lot of it by talking very loudly. Also DH had been more times than me. It was such a good concert and I wanted to see him in Europe but DH wouldn't. When he died I said" See now we will never see him again." DH looked a bit sad that he hadn't listened to me.

I liked Meatloaf but never got chance to go.

redcarbluecar · 24/07/2018 18:26

Saw Leonard Cohen about five years ago - brilliant - glad I got the chance when I did.
That’s sad about Meatloaf.

Bowerbird5 · 24/07/2018 18:26

Yeah Tom Waites fan too😄

DontDrinkDontSmoke · 24/07/2018 18:27

Saw Meatloaf in the 80s, before you were born OP. He was brilliant.

Riotgrrrrrl · 24/07/2018 18:27

Alice in Chains with Layne Staley.

I was just a couple of years too young when they were at their peak 😔

Tobebythesea · 24/07/2018 18:30

Michael Jackson. Truly gutted.

WeeBeasties · 24/07/2018 18:31

I find it upsetting to face the fact that I will never see Elvis Presley.

I'm so so glad I saw Amy Winehouse. She was something special.

LookAtThatCritter · 24/07/2018 18:31

@StillRunningWithScissors I’ve heard about it and really want to see it! I don’t live in the UK though so hopefully it’s still on for my next visit home! Grin
