I used to go travelling on my own loads but I think I'd find it hard to be on a beach holiday in a resort on my own.
If I'm single next year, which I might well be, I might go on a yoga holiday for a bit of company and self whatever it is called.

OP I think you look great. It seems you lack confidence but I’d say that taking a solo holiday to a resort takes a fair bit of inner confidence, even if you don’t feel it right now.

OP, clearly your AIBU should have been 'AIBU for being gutted to still be single in my 40s?', to which the answer would have been a resounding 'YANBU, it's bollocks not to be where you want in life '.

However, look on the positive side - you've got the balls and the money to go on holiday by yourself, you've got a fantastic body in your 40s, the sun is shining - my advice is to go out somewhere lovely for dinner, have dessert (fuck it, have two!) and then seduce and shag the waiter. You'll feel much better!

And yes, I would love to be able to go on holiday by myself again one day. DP is a right old fretbudget on holidays, he gets serious FOMO and we spend the whole time on a schedule sigh. Enjoy doing everything your way!
