To ask what you’d tell your 30 year old self?

It was my 30th birthday yesterday and today I’m feeling thoroughly depressed for a number of reasons although I know I’ve got everything in the world to look forward to.

I thought it might be interesting to hear what people would say to their 30 year old self if they could. I don’t want to look back with any regrets.

I found 30 hard. (I went out for it on a work night out with colleagues and accidentally snogged a much younger guy - tatty don’t do it! It might have been an amazing kiss but it won’t be worth the angst).
Leave sooner rather than later - the longer you leave it the harder it will be.
You will get life changing health news. But you will learn to deal with it. In five years time you will be happy. Life won’t be perfect but you will be truly happy. Invest in building strong friendships. Get that therapy. Your mother won’t change.
Keep praying.

Start trying to start a family now, don’t leave it another four years to start trying.

The next 29 years will be fucking awesome, remember to stop just occasionally to refocus on just how bloody lucky you are.
