Dirty messy room disaster

AIBU yo ask for some support tonight? I know I can’t sleep and I need to do this so i don’t mind doing it over night. Bare in mind, no children so ni one is living in these conditions but me.

My room is dirty and messy. The most it possibly could be. I struggle with depression and I don’t know how I’ve let it get this monumentally bad. I’m talking dirty dishes, rotting food, every thing I own and clothes covering the floor.

Please give me some support I know this is my fault but I need some encouragement to tackle this as it’s just not healthy to live in

Brilliant op. Look what you have achieved in such a short time

God job OP, I am so proud and pleased for you. Put on some lovely music, light a candle, relax in your lovely new room. Flowers

Well done OP Flowers

Maybe try 15 minutes a day to do a quick tidy, you have done an incredible job!

CaptainCarp · 21/07/2018 22:48

OP that looks great! You've absolutely smashed through the cleaning by the looks of it.
I reckon if you go for a bag at a time for the clothing you'll soon have everything sorted quickly.

I definitely get the feeling of a clean room helping with a clear head as well. Smile

Well done Smile

Massive well done OP!! Please take a huge rest. Not only do you deserve it but you need it. lol after yourself!

And BTW you inspired me to tackle my own bedroom, particularly all my clothes that were just a mountain on the floor. So I got stuck in and got it all sorted. Loads for the charity shop and I discovered I have far too many navy and white striped tops Blush

Cupoteap · 22/07/2018 04:59

How is your room looking now OP? Have you been able to keep on top of it?

Defender90 · 26/07/2018 00:13

Well done you - have you felt a difference in sleeping?

I have a massive clear out last weekend it only took me a few hours but there was stuff everywhere and something just triggered me.

I need to hoover still and dust but I'm sleeping so much better in the cleared space and have bought some second hand drawers to help store what's left.
