This whole ares is a minefield; extremely emotional for those caught up in it; but also a very good reason not to rush to make hard and fast rules before a proper understanding of the consequences of this in the round has been afforded. The one thing many women have learned, on here as elsewhere, is if you give an inch to TRAs they demand a mile. They are not willing to compromise and won't hear many women's and men's concerns nor that people can't change sex.

You know some of WPUK's 5 demands is that women are consulted and the process is respectful and evidence! It's hardly rocket science and shouldn't need demanding but it's been withheld up to the present - and even with the existing consultation there are many questions about the influence of the trans funded lobby groups like Mermaids &Stonewall plus the experience of whoever is assessing the submissions.
