It does seem like there is a split between when she is in a "formal" engagement with other (more senior) members of the RF - dress coat central, whereas when she is alone or just with Prince William, her clothes show a different flavour.

All the references to Pippa in this thread have made me look up the dress that made her bum famous and all I can say is WTF. It’s a totally normal bum belonging to a slender person. A nice enough bum, certainly, but no more or less impressive than most of the other bums on display at the same event. You can’t even really see the shape of it through her dress. How did the bum worship even begin?

This is not a judgement on Pippas bum or any other bum by the way, but a judgement on the press/public for going wild for absolutely no reason...

It's the same with any well known person or celebrity. They can be perfectly ordinary looking people but the media blow them up with all the hype, and the public invariably latch onto it.

I remember how people used to talk about how beautiful Diana was. Well no, she actually wasn't particularly good looking, but she had the clothes and the glamour and because of that and the hype everyone bought into the idea of her being some sort of rare beauty.

I think the bum thing was because of the simplicity of the design and because she has a very long body.
