I thought Catherine looked absolutely beautiful and the headpiece was lovely. And as for all this talk about ageing badly - what bollocks. She looks great. And I bet many on here would kill for those legs - I know I would.

I really don't know. Possibly because it was seen as more modest. It was removed, though, before the executioner struck.

Non royalist here but I think Kate dresses well given her role.

Meghan on the other hand always looks like everything is two sizes too big.

Couldn't give a fig about anyone else choices for a private christening.

I see the similarity between the shape of her hat and typical Tudor style head dress but fail to see why you name Anne Boleyn in particular? She could be any woman from that period not just Henry's wives. Why Anne?

One of the most well recognised paintings of Anne Boleyn shows her wearing the French hood so I think most people would think of her over some of the other ladies of the court

Why Anne?

Anne is credited with making the French hood fashionable in England. She had served as a lady-in-waiting at the French Court and had adopted French fashion. French women, then as now, were regarded as more fashionable than the women of many other European countries.

When I said (the other night) that Lenny Henry has aged 15-20 years through losing lots of weight quickly, I was jumped on by dozens of posters, yet there have been a multitude of posters on here slating Pippa, Kate, Wills, AND Pippa's bloke, saying they have all aged terribly.

Funny that. One rule for one, one rule for another. Hmm

I guess the 'it's obviously completely different posters on this thread' line will come up. Even if that is true, (and I think there are a FEW who are the same!) I can't believe that the posters from my thread the other night have not seen THIS thread!

Kate looks fine, but the outfit is frumpy. Don't get the Anne Boleyn connections!

If we are gonna bash anyone, let's start with Jackie Bouvier-Kennedy- Onassis-Farquarsson-Ploddington-twat. (9-10 posts up ^.) How the fuck she got 2 massively rich, successful, powerful men to marry her I do not know. She looks like a frog.

I don't like these saggy boob cupping dresses they are all wearing - there's probably a name for it as I'm not saying their actual boobs are saggy but the dress is cut in a way that makes them look it. Piipa and Carole have them on today, Kate wore one to Pippas wedding. Even Rose Leslie was pictured out the other say in a similar style.

Meghan however looks effortlessly stylish as.ever.

I think Kate looks lovely and i love the hairpiece. I wish i could carry it off. Pippas dress is not flattering at all and i dont know why the press keep saying her blossoming baby bump. Where exactly? Is the brother still with Donn Air? Do you think she talks posh now?

They are restricted by protocol aren't they? So never going to be following fashion as such.

I was interested to see Kate worn white (or maybe very, very pale cream) as she did to the other two christenings. Is that significant? I am clueless on traditions and etiquette.

I think the cream was so not to clash with the christening gown. Megan would have been trying not to draw too much attention to herself as the newest princess. And I think that pippa is still in disgrace and must wear awful dresses to every royal occasion now to pay for stealing the show at the wedding with her arse.
I did think Camilla looked lovely and Kate looked totally in love with her baby.

@Each no they've split now, I found that a bit sad as the relationship affected her badly and she had a nervous breakdown.

Kate looked really pretty and happy, actually I'll have to go back and look at the photos again as I didn't spot the Anne Boleyn likeness...
