That's all, folks! Goodness only knows what happens now. But at least that Grade A twat is no longer representing us abroad.

I don't believe nana's version of the 'truth' for a second.

That was the beginning of the decimation of industry in this country. We don't actually have much manufacturing industry left which is another reason we'll be even more in the shit with Brexit.

AliTheMinx · 09/07/2018 20:31

I'm so politically confused. Delighted Boris has gone, but fearful how he may reemerge... I think Theresa's days are well and truly numbered. I'm very pro-remain and wish someone would be brave enough to step up and call a snap general election or at least another referendum. For me, strong leadership would be from David Milliband, Vince Cable or even Nick Clegg.

TattyTshirt · 09/07/2018 20:32

@Bluntness100that was to someone who reckons May is competent just because she got elected

May was never elected by the people. She stood into the breach when Cameron ran with his tail between his legs.

Grandmaswagsbag · 09/07/2018 20:33

@Unfinishedkitchen your analysis is pretty much spot on. None of our politicians have the foggiest when it comes to negotiating against the EU.

NanaNoodleman · 09/07/2018 20:33

Google Hancock and Shankland. Landmark case in history of homicide. Convictions for murder quashed as jury misdirected. Convictions for nanslsughter upheld. Their defence? We only meant to frighten them. Would be funny but a man died.
But you believe it’s all made up if it comforts you

ThePlanetGoesOnBeingRound3 · 09/07/2018 20:33

@NanaNoodleman
No problem with assemblies, joined quite a few myself. My problem is with people who want to whitewash the past. Which is what you’re doing. I know you’re untruthful, but others may not.

Untruthful?

Please state how?

BishopBrennansArse · 09/07/2018 20:34

Exactly. Yet people say May is more competent because she was elected.

People say Corbyn is a weak leader and incompetent. As a party leader he prioritises the voice of the party despite his own beliefs, that is a strong, competent leader.

He also does this despite his previous rebellions from Labour.

PestymcPestFace · 09/07/2018 20:35

You know this is about the best politicians to lead our country right??!

Countries, there is more than one country in the UK.

It would be very refreshing to have politicians who gave a feck about the people in all those countries. The current bunch seem mainly interested in lining their own pockets and one-upmanship. It is our political party system that needs reviewing.

TattyTshirt · 09/07/2018 20:42

Country being the UK. What else shall we call it? Ok Empire if you like!

So far we have corbyn/and any other clueless labour candidates/ May/ Boris/Gove and all that entails /Sturgeon/ Leanne fucking Wood....

Anyone else you'd like to consider??

Shall we throw keys into a bowl and go with the luck of the draw??

ThePlanetGoesOnBeingRound3 · 09/07/2018 20:44

This^ with knobs on.

Bluntness100 · 09/07/2018 20:44

I'm not even sure it's about competency but I believe May has more experience in government that helps her.

I think it's also about desire to do it, and I don't believe Corbyn has any desire to be in power at this stage. He is exactly where he wants to be. In opposition.

Bluntness100 · 09/07/2018 20:45

I don't even think most of the Labour Party members and defintely not their supporters believe Corbyn is a strong competent leader. Confused

ThePlanetGoesOnBeingRound3 · 09/07/2018 20:46

Look @Bluntness100 We've already established that you aren't an extra lobe in his brain.
Stop making things up and writing it as though it's facts.

Bluntness100 · 09/07/2018 20:47

When you fail to be able to form a cohesive argument back, just make daft remarks, then you lose the argument, you do know that don't you?

ThePlanetGoesOnBeingRound3 · 09/07/2018 20:48

@Bluntness100
They do in the ward meetings and CLP's I go to and they do on the doorstep too

Most people have a social conscience, have had enough of austerity and yes....would vote Labour.

You can't just say that what you think is what Jeremy Corbyn thinks, don't you?
You do know you don't have access to his brain don't you?

GreatWesternValkyrie · 09/07/2018 20:51

Sounds like sharky Boris has smelt the blood in the water for TM and is planning his post Brexit bid for PM - and with Davis gone, I guess he is keen not to become the Brexit whipping boy.

Must be handy to be in a job where you can just quit the bits that are too difficult but still be able to keep the other parts of the job, no loss of income and the ability to abdicate responsibility when it suits.

NanaNoodleman · 09/07/2018 20:52

Planet these increasingly unhinged (or decreasingly hinged?) contributions are only serving to confirm what all the howwible tories think about the hard left, you do realise that?

ThePlanetGoesOnBeingRound3 · 09/07/2018 20:55

@NanaNoodleman

Unhinged?

And I don't think you answered my question to the last insult you threw.

PestymcPestFace · 09/07/2018 20:56

Boris effectively halved his parliamentary salary today.

BishopBrennansArse · 09/07/2018 20:58

@Cismyass massive cuts to medical help for me and kids. Mental health problems for child, unable to access proper treatment for my disability in a timely manner thus causing further complications, more disability.

Yes we get PIP & DLA but my son is mentally ill and my health is worse than it should be. My kids aren't getting access to help at school that they used to get, TA positions are being but and his special school is going to have to go to 4 days a week.

But yeah go on, make it all about benefits 🙄

BishopBrennansArse · 09/07/2018 21:00

Oh fucking hell they gave it to C Hunt

Rememory · 09/07/2018 21:00

I shit you not!

...to be absolutely delighted that Boris has resigned as Foreign Secretary?
NanaNoodleman · 09/07/2018 21:02

Ok, I’ll bite. You suggested that miners never spat at police during the strike in what appears to be an attempt to convince the gullible that the conduct on that side of the dispute was impeccable. In fact many did much worse things. You are also peddling hatred of the police.
There are some people who will say and believe anything that fits with their agenda; it’s precisrly this tendency that’s got us into this Brexit shitshow.
