To be shocked at how Lenny Henry's 'great' weight loss has aged him by 20 years? And to think he looked better before the weight loss?

If this isn't living proof that losing a great deal of weight past middle age is not a good idea, I don't know what is! Lenny has lost LOADS of weight (4 - 5 stone,) and it has aged him so badly! He has aged 20 years!

He looked better before the weight loss!

I can’t believe a thread quite obviously started by an over intoxicated and bitter poster has run to 7 pages. Grin

I think he looks great. And not older than he is.

Losing too much weight can age you.
I have lost a lot of weight recently( not intentionally) and it has definitely aged me.
I am now in the process of trying to put some weight on

princesstiasmum · 09/07/2018 09:32

I agree with areyoubeingserved i am not very heavy to start with but lost a stone and desperately trying to put it back on,
It makes you look haggard sometimes

Lethaldrizzle · 09/07/2018 10:24

I'd rather live to be old skinny and haggard than die young and fat

MyRelationshipIsWeird · 09/07/2018 10:32

OP you keep saying that losing weight is a bad idea because it makes you look older, as if looking young is THE most important thing of all.

Despite others pointing out that he is at risk of diabetes and heart disease when heavier. Can you not see that your very vain notion of what constitutes a "bad idea" is at odds with everything we know about health?

Losing weight is a great idea if you are overweight at any age. Does it make you look older - yes often a bit of fat plumps out the wrinkles. Is that a price worth paying for having more energy and finding walking up stairs easier, with a lower risk of serious illness and/or death. Erm, yes!

MyRelationshipIsWeird · 09/07/2018 10:34

And it's clearly an unflattering photo in the OP, with his receding hair and sideboard combination conspiring to make him look older. If he had his goatee back and lost the sideys he'd look younger for sure. If he gives a shit about looking younger that is. Maybe that's not on his list of important things to worry about?
