Would you have a problem with a neighbour sunbathing topless or in a thong bikini in their garden?

No problem. Whenever I go on holiday abroad there's always topless sunbathers. You don't have to ogle them.

Why would a topless woman sunbathing bother you so much but not a man? Because women's breasts are unnecessarily sexualised.

How come nobody would bat an eyelid at a man sunbathing topless in his own garden but when it's a woman it's repulsive, tacky and attention seeking?

I've seen men wandering round in public without their tops on this week. Meh. Its hot.

What is it that makes boobs so scary?

Maddy70 · 01/07/2018 14:20

No your garden. Do what you like as far as I'm concerned

LakieLady · 01/07/2018 14:34

So it's alright for men to swan about with no tops on in this heat but a woman shouldn't sunbathe topless in her own garden? What a load of bollocks.

Quite! I'm a bit surprised at the amount of boob-prudery on here, tbh. I used to sunbathe topless in my garden and on beaches and the only reason I don't do it any more is that my norks are twice the size they used to be and gravely suffering the effects of decades of gravity.

It seems a lot of women in my part of the world feel the same:

I believe this year's event is next Saturday if anyone fancies a bit of mammary freedom. Grin

I don’t have a problem with nudity. Sunbathing naked or topless - meh, who cares. I’ll look away.

Loud sex in an overlooked garden, or obviously displaying yourself is different. Obvious as in, the bloke who only decides to do nude yoga when the kids next door are using the trampoline.

As someone who last night could clearly see a couple ahem having some oral fun on their couch when I went out for a smoke on my balcony (clearly visible by at least 20 other flats lol) I would welcome topless sunbathers over that lol

50shadesofgreyismylaundry · 01/07/2018 15:34

I didn't think people sunbathed anymore. That's so 80s! Give me a hat, some shade and a bottle of factor 50 any day.

mirime · 01/07/2018 15:38

I wouldn't because I don't sunbathe at all, but I wouldn't care if my neighbours did. I'd only be able to see see from one upstairs window and I keep the curtains closed to keep the room cooler anyway so I'd have to make a real effort to see them!

LemonysSnicket · 01/07/2018 16:08

I think it's fine ... it's only a body in their own garden, if you're worried about your DPs reaction then that's a DH problem tbh.

Only the Brits are so bloody prudish about nakedness 🙄🙄

NotTakenUsername · 01/07/2018 16:16

Has this been shared yet. Quite clearly in legal terms of it fine.

“Interestingly, it’s worth noting that the same Act classifies voyeurism as watching a person ‘in a place which, in the circumstances, would reasonably be expected to provide privacy, and the person’s genitals, buttocks or breasts are exposed or covered only with underwear’. So perhaps you’re more protected in your back garden than you thought…“
