..to ask if you think my baby will stay ginger?

I love my little carrot top. It looks so cute, thick copper hair.

The pic where he is asleep in his car seat, with the grey cardi on, he was around 5 weeks old.

The last two were taken today at 18 weeks old. It's got very whispy at the top and sides. He has a bald patch at the back like most babies.

Has anyone had a ginger baby and they've changed colour?

Ahh love red hair. I'm holding out for ginger on mine-at 12 weeks he's rubbed off all the dark hair he was born with and there's some golden/coppery hair coming through.

My dad had hair like this all through childhood and it went dark brown in his teens.

With his skin tone and blue eyes I hazard a guess that he'll keep this colouring

I had one born a darker auburn who ended up white blonde and another born with almost black hair who turned a dirty blonde or light brown colour. Both fair skinned with blue eyes, same as me.

I was ginger, went blonde from about 2-5, then brown for the rest of my life.

Very ginger baby who is now 30. His hair went an even more gorgeous strawberry blonde as he grew. When he started shaving his beard was and still is as ginger as it is possible to be.

My coppertop dc at birth, and 17y later:

he might keep it but unfortunately you never know
for me Ds1 was born Ginger and has stayed Ginger with blue eyes
Ds3 was born Ginger and stayed Ginger and has dark brown eyes
DD was born with jet black hair and she is 3 now with Ginger hair and she has green eyes just recently changed from blue

His hair is a beautiful colour though my Dc ginger is a little bit darker

That's not going anywhere. No ambiguity with that colour at all.

DS and I were ginger-ish until about 1, now both dark/'dirty' blonde. I had a period between 1 and 8 of being yellow blonde. Trust me on the sunscreen!

My husband was born ginger like that. It turned to white blonde when he was around 1. Now it’s like a dirty blonde/brown colour.

He's adorable and the way you affectionately called him your little carrot top makes me wish we had ginger in our genes!! Toooo cute

DH was born ginger and ds2 white blond and now they both have the same olored light brown hair, only ds2' body hair is still blond and DH's still very ginger!

I doubt it! Those photos show the colour is extremely strong.
Ds2 has ginger hair, but it has 3 or so different tones/colours within his whole head of hair.

Ds's hair has got browner I don't think it's dirt. It started to change in his teens. Dd's has stayed very red. So I'm not much help really, except to say you can get really quite bright low lights in your hair and nobody will bat an eyelid.

I was born with ginger hair. It turned bleached blonde while I was still very little, gradually dulled and then turned to brown by my late teens. I had a friend who was the opposite and had bleached blonde hair that turned into ginger hair.

I reckon he will stay ginger.

I was ginger as a baby then went super blonde and I'm now dark blonde.

It might change. My DD was blonde until she was about 3, now she had quite dark brown hair.

My two were ginger..one is now auburn, the other more a strawberry blonde..both ginger till in their late teens though. Husband was bright, bright ginger all his life...now mousey brown with lots of white.

My daughter is nearly one and her hair is dark red. Absolutely no idea where it comes from but it’s absolutelt gorgeous.

Suspect she’ll have it dyed black by 13 right enough.

I was born ginger, proper dark ginger. By one I was bleach blonde and now in my 30's and it's a reddish blonde.
