They usually have loud sex (it's the woman we hear often) but this time, it's at bloody 8:30 in the morning!

What would you do?

Branleuse · 23/06/2018 09:49

and yeah it is private if they're in their own room.

CrackersDontMatter · 23/06/2018 09:56

gingergenius · 23/06/2018 10:11

@Notso yes!😂

OssomMummy1 · 23/06/2018 10:12

Shout out "Well done Sharon Stone"

gingergenius · 23/06/2018 10:12

And why does everyone assume the noises are fake? If I don't have kids around I can be quite vocal. Nothing fake about it. Or does everyone lie there in silence??

Branleuse · 23/06/2018 10:22

ive always been quite noisy during sex, but did live next door to a couple at one point a few years ago that would make fucking clapping noises if i made a noise during sex, so obviously walls were a bit thin.

I must say it somewhat ruined sex for me, because I could never relax and just enjoy myself in my own home with my own partner after that. I think it was a bit pathetic really and hung up.
I have had to listen to all sorts of unwanted noises from neighbours over the years. Music, singing, dogs barking, motorbikes, parties, arguing, kids shouting, DIY as well as sometimes sex noises etc etc. Noise is a fact of life when you live in close proximity to people. Just get on with your life and ignore it, and hope that they ignore your nosies too

Tomorrowillbeachicken · 23/06/2018 10:27

Wait until they finish and applaud lol

GladAllOver · 23/06/2018 10:31

Recently we stayed a weekend in an old country pub and we were woken up on Sunday morning by vigorous bouncing in the room above. No audible moaning, but it sounded like the bed was coming through the ceiling.
At breakfast the owner asked if we had slept well. DH said "Yes, but the beds are very creaky aren't they." He said this very loudly and was looking across at the other couple whose faces were a picture.

Deathgrip · 23/06/2018 10:34

Love the assumptions that loud sex means fake enthusiasm. And all the bloody misogyny - “heavy set less”, FFS? Christ.

mumsastudent · 23/06/2018 10:37

play bolero!

SendintheArdwolves · 23/06/2018 10:38

I just don't understand the glee in trying to shame adults for having consentual sex in their own home - all for the crime of you having accidentally overheard them.

Apparently according to @GladAllOver even when you're on a romantic getaway with your partner and you have sex in absolute silence, if the bed happens to be creaky you should STOP IMMEDIATELY lest you risk stares and comments from the other guests at breakfast.

Jeez, some of you are really prudish.

YoThePussy · 23/06/2018 10:42

To be honest the noise from next doors teenager when he is playing with his gamestation or whatever it is annoys me much more, lowing like cattle, whooping and screaming. That combined with the smell of pot wafting from his bedroom.

Had a neighbour who used to set the dishwasher before they went to bed and the noise carried up to my bedroom. Did I say anything, no, because they were great otherwise and seemed a small price to pay for having considerate and friendly neighbours.

mimibunz · 23/06/2018 10:46

Why is everyone saying Good for them? I hate hearing people have sex. The performance of it all is ghastly.

Bombardier25966 · 23/06/2018 10:49

DH named her and whoever her guest of the night was 'slapper and slap'

A woman having regular sex is called a slapper? The problem here is your husband, thinking it's acceptable to call women derogatory names.

MariaMadita · 23/06/2018 10:51

Why is everyone saying Good for them?

Because they're enjoying themselves. (Well, hopefully...)

Thehop · 23/06/2018 10:54

Awww I think I remember sex.

namitababe · 23/06/2018 10:54

well at 8.30am a lot of people are going to work or school.

that said, if it' disturbing you, it could be illegal potentially.

however, going over this is difficult, since it could cause issues. i'd imagine the people would not take kindly to being called by the police, and it could cause issues down the line.

i don't agree with people saying it's not the people's fault. ANYTHING that can disturb others can be illegal, and from sex moaning noises, to music, to vehicle engines, lawnmowers, etc.

I just don't understand the glee in trying to shame adults for having consentual sex in their own home - all for the crime of you having accidentally overheard them. I can't understand the glee of saying "good for them" when kids could be listening.

A woman having regular sex is called a slapper? The problem here is your husband, thinking it's acceptable to call women derogatory names. Everyone that's mentioned this comment. Did you not notice the man was called "slap"

MariaMadita · 23/06/2018 10:57

He said this very loudly and was looking across at the other couple whose faces were a picture.

That's a bit mean-spirited imo.

Slapper and slap

I wouldn't want to be intimate / sexually actively with a man that felt the need to use derogatory terms for sexually active women.... I'd feel rather insulted, tbh.

midnightmisssuki · 23/06/2018 10:59

And?! Confused

Vitalogy · 23/06/2018 11:02

Another poster missed it or was that two posters.

TammySwansonTwo · 23/06/2018 11:14

They called the guys slap because they were with the “slapper”. Why you think this is a beacon of equality, I’m not sure.
