Found out why. He could stop the policy with a phone call... But he couldn't do indefinite detainment with one. That's why it is an executive order, so he can just have these people in camps forever. I bet people still won't be able to apply for asylum.

It is horrifying, Lemons. Trump can stop this and apparently he is about to, at least, amend his policy to stop family separation. There will likely be no retribution, unless the Democrats can win Congress at the mid term elections in November.

I'm sceptical about how genuinely disturbed some of these repugs are by the family separation policy. More likely it is dawning on them how bad it looks for them.
