Jumped to the end but the choice isn't great. JC is dividing the LP. I know lots of staunch labor voters who won't vote Labour whilst he is in power. My local MP is now Tory, tbh he seems to be doing a good job in the area. Some people choose who to vote for based on more than just disability benefits. However, I did look at the Labour party’s manifesto pledges on disability other than those which related to benefits. It was a load of fluff and nonsense and not worth the paper it was written on.

So am I, Summerchild; I have a disabled son myself and don't doubt that, according to some on here, my voting Tory last time was tantamount to writing him off. Perhaps inconveniently, though, the best experiences I've had of education, social service and other local agencies have all hapened when they were managed by a conservative council

I'm not deaf to the good talk Labour produces around these matters, but IME it simply doesn't translate into action. Once elected, all they've ever done is throw away cash on empire building and vanity projects while whining endlessly about the effect of "Tory cuts"
