How the hell is it possible to look like this woman??

OK I qas having that Sunday sadness feeling and now I'm feeling casually pissed off and jealous because I went on FB and an ad popped up featuring this woman (Tammy Hemsomething apparently).

How is it possible to look like this?! What I mean is is this the result of just working out or what? But how can she get her body fat down so low for the waist, but not on her bum or tits?!

My dd has an amazing figure. She gets utterly fed up with people asking her if she's had a boob job or lip fillers. She looked at this woman's Instagram and thought it was "whack". She is 50 times more beautiful than this woman. It is not envy.

Gretol · 19/06/2018 18:15

Of course she's had arse implants!

erniepigy · 19/06/2018 18:17

A ton of tan and makeup, fillers, silicon and possibly a bit of photoshop.
Nothing to emulate or envy here. Fake and plastic and very sad that this gal needs to post pictures of herself posing like a twat.

IcedPurple · 19/06/2018 18:18

But sh'e still real!

And you're still jealous!

SerenDippitty · 19/06/2018 18:21

But now people (especially the younger generation) are beginning to value self worth and love over self depreciation.

Dear god. It is possible to have a healthy self esteem without posting pouty preening pictures of yourself all over social media.

comingintomyown · 19/06/2018 18:22

I just wonder why people want to take endless pictures of themselves and plaster online , if I’d taken tons of pictures of myself and shown them to friends at that age they would have been speechless
Glad to be much older and well clear of this sort of nonsense that goes on

Madbengalmum · 19/06/2018 18:23

Seriously, why would anyone want their arse to look like that? Plastic fantastic big arse.

Grandmaswagsbag · 19/06/2018 18:35

if I’d taken tons of pictures of myself and shown them to friends at that age they would have been speechless

I’d never thought of it that way, but that really puts it in perspective. Yes people would have thought you were completely weird. It’s not really an acceptable or healthy thing to do is it, regardless of if it’s digital or not.

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 19/06/2018 18:39

This is bonkers.

Why on Earth would I be jealous?

Real or not, you can't pay me to look like this.

Why do people insist that everybody must simply be in want of an arse the size of bus?

DailyMailReadersAreThick · 19/06/2018 18:40

That picture actually makes me feel ill. Nothing to do with standards of beauty... it just looks wrong. It's like the uncanny valley.

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 19/06/2018 18:45

I watched an episode of Botched a while ago- a programme where surgeons attempt to correct plastic surgery.
A woman had a bum implant and after 5 years it had flipped around. It literally looked like she had a large dinner plate in her bum cheek poor woman.

I do wonder what these women are doing to themselves with plastic shoved in their bottoms and if they'll regret it in 20 years.

ASongOfRiceAndPeas · 19/06/2018 18:56

Lots of women of afro Caribbean descent has this physique, naturally.

So it's sad to see so many find it repulsive, but at the same time I feel like it's appropriation when you look at Kim K et al who have blatantly had surgery, a lot of fake tan, lip fillers and dress 'ghetto fab' for lack of a better term.

ASongOfRiceAndPeas · 19/06/2018 18:56

*have

Birdsgottafly · 19/06/2018 19:21

Gretol my DD didn't have a bum, until she did intensive weight lifting. You've obviously never seen proper female weightlifters, before and after pics. Have you ever seen Women from Trinidad?

"Lots of women of Afro Caribbean descent has this physique, naturally. "

I also know a few White Girls who have big thighs and arses. Until big arses became a wanted thing, I always felt like I had to defend myself against comments and attitudes.

It does boil down to standards of beauty that were set based on White features, because Black Women were considered valueless once slavery was ended.

I know that the lack of role models, added to my (mixed heritage) Half-Sister's self worth issues, that and racism, of course.

The words Freak and vile have been used to describe what can be a natural body shape, just one that doesn't look like you.

The Male UFC fighters are branded as flaunting themselves, neither are the boxers/weightlifters/PT's. Why can't Women post the results of their fitness regime?

That is what she makes money out of. Her workouts are real. Her fitness is real. She's been speaking about the recent breakup with her Partner and doesn't come across as an idiot, or shallow.

Movablefeast · 19/06/2018 19:22

To have a large bum naturally you also need to be balanced in the hips and thighs. Naturally slim women such as Cardi B and Kim K with a small waist can only get that look with implants, Cardi has talked openly about it. The safest way is to take fat from other areas such as your stomach but if you are so slim that you have no extra body fat (again Cardi has talked openly about this) then other kinds of implants are necessary. To carry a naturally big curvy bum the body has to be built differently.

I live in the USA and there is a constituency of people who appreciate a natural big bum with a small waist. They are very clear about the difference between those that have been blessed naturally with this figure and those who have acquired it. Not a judgment, it is just a different aesthetic.

Gretol · 19/06/2018 19:24

Women from Trinidad look ripped and dont have smooth round buttocks. It's completely different

dogzdinner · 19/06/2018 19:27

birds I think one difference is that boxers etc have their physique as a consequence of training for a sport. In this case it appears to be purely for aesthetics.

IcedPurple · 19/06/2018 19:32

It does boil down to standards of beauty that were set based on White features, because Black Women were considered valueless once slavery was ended.

Please don't try to suggest this is about racism.

Yes, some black women have bigger behinds, but chances are they'll also have proportionately large thighs and hips. This woman doesn't. She's very thin everywhere except on her tits and bubble bum

The Male UFC fighters are branded as flaunting themselves, neither are the boxers/weightlifters/PT's. Why can't Women post the results of their fitness regime?

And don't try to make it about sexism either!

She's not a fighter or a weightlifter is she? From what I gather, she doesn't actually do anything other than get surgery go to the gym and post pictures of herself in her knickers, angling her arse into the lens for maximum arsiness. Which of course she is free to do. Just as we are free to say she is contributing to a culture of narcissism and that we personally don't find her shape - 'natural' or not - in any way attractive.

Tangled59 · 19/06/2018 19:37

Christ. Getting butt implants is now cultural appropriation?

Birdsgottafly · 19/06/2018 19:43

dogzdinner how so, when she set herself up as a fitness guru and has her own brand of sports wear? She trained to change her body, people are inspired by that, so she's found a way to be self employed and earn money.

Gretol, the Trinidad festival dancers I've seen do. I was at the African Oye at the weekend, many Women had similar lower body shape.

Have you seen the whole family. One of her Sisters has the same and her younger sister has a tiny frame which matches hers, she admits to having her boobs done. She has never claimed that you can change your chest size.

She's been constantly discussed on weigh-lifting sites and those that do weights say it's possible.

Some have said that she makes her bum look flat in the before pics, then exaggerated.

The picture is of her as a child, she has a natural curve.

PerfectlyDone · 19/06/2018 19:46

I think it boils down to that we have standards of beauty in the first place.

Why oh why is it so important to aspire to look a certain way??
This is waaaaaay beyond whether we like or aspire to the look posted in the OP.
A far more androgynous look was fashionable with narrow hip, little pert boobs, tall and lean or the more voluptuous Rubenesque women or whatever.

Why on earth does it seem aspirational to spend quite so much time and money and nervous energy on diet, and exercise and looking at every teeny aspect of ones physique?!

I genuinely don't get it. I like to look good, of course I do, and I know that if I eat well, am active, sleep enough and have a wash from time to time, I like what I see in the mirror.
The identikit young women I see in the local secondary school, the college across the road and about town are all gorgeous, but somehow all seems to have come from the same eyebrow technician mould [onfused]

I find it hugely refreshing to see, for instance, a short haired woman in dungarees or something other than skinny jeans tbh Grin

IcedPurple · 19/06/2018 19:46

The picture is of her as a child, she has a natural curve.

A child has a 'natural curve'?

Oh dear.

And no, I haven't seen her family or her childhod pics. Why the hell would I be interested? Why are you so interested in her and her family?

Birdsgottafly · 19/06/2018 19:47

IcedPurple Female beauty has always had a level of Racism alongside the sexism.

PerfectlyDone · 19/06/2018 19:47

That is a normal healthy child with good muscle tone.

IcedPurple · 19/06/2018 19:49

Well, happily Tammy and her bum are here to cure mankind of that!
