How dare he! Is he going to get a Dyson handheld....

MummySparkle · 16/06/2018 13:04

Depends what he comes back with I think!

Singlebutmarried · 16/06/2018 13:05

Good man! But why would you go shopping for a hoover, what's wrong with Amazon?

PositivelyPERF · 16/06/2018 13:09

So long as he’s doing the proper share of the housework, including vacuuming, then I don’t see it as a problem. If he isn’t then tell him it was lovely of him to want to do the vacuuming from now on. After all, that’s why he choose the vacuum, isn’t it? 😉

Sparrowlegs248 · 16/06/2018 13:09

If he comes back with a Henry, ltb.

Singlebutmarried · 16/06/2018 13:09

Because he wants it now.....to clean his car (and mine) with.

@nottalotta Henry would definitely be a LTB scenario

Unless Henry is a bloke, then you’re going to need to have a very serious chat! 😆

Sparrowlegs248 · 16/06/2018 13:13

If it's a shark liftaway then he should get brownie points!

Hamandcheesebaguette · 16/06/2018 13:15

I briefly considered LTB when DP went shopping for white paint without me.

Sure enough he got some off white yellow monstrosity and I've never really gotten over it.

Bubbles121 · 17/06/2018 07:36

What did he come back with? Was it a dyson and a bunch of flowers?

Bubbles121 · 17/06/2018 07:38

@Hamandcheesebaguette eeeeek! I don't think I'd ever get over that Grinthere are far too many shades of white for it to ever be a quick solo decision - it requires endless buying of the samples and painting bits of card to see how they reflect the light.... what was he thinking Shock

Figuringitout · 17/06/2018 07:39

What'a wrong with a Henry? (It having one a social faux pas?!)

feral · 17/06/2018 07:47

Oh dear.

I love my Henry and my Dyson hand held!

Troels · 17/06/2018 07:52

So what did he get?

Grumblepants · 17/06/2018 07:58

Nothing wrong with a Henry. We have one. I love it because it's so heavy and I have a bad back......so DH has to do all the vacuuming Grin win win!

Rainydaydog · 17/06/2018 07:59

As long as he does all the hoovering thats ok.

Bubblenuggets · 17/06/2018 08:02

Not good! Buying a vacuum takes a serious amount of research and is not something for a DH to do alone. They are just not up to the task.

KittyMcKitty · 17/06/2018 08:03

DH and I have had 4 (I think) vacuums over the years and I have had nothing to do with buying any of them - I can’t think of anything more dull Grin - have I been doing something fundamentally wrong? (We currently have a dyson hand held and a karcher pull along type).

Sparrowlegs248 · 17/06/2018 08:52

Henry is bloody useless. Fails to Hoover all but 1 of my carpets properly.

What did he get OP??

Singlebutmarried · 17/06/2018 09:07

Dyson handheld. It’s the nuts!!

OP posts:
Singlebutmarried · 17/06/2018 09:09

No 💐 but he did cook a lush dinner instead.

(I’d been mopping up child vom all day)

Dyson cordless is amazing! DH actually bought ours but after extensive research in which I was involved. He actually vacuumed the car last night after taking out the toddlers car seat - had to empty it twice - urgh!
