@Nottalotta I agree! The shark lift away is awesome!

Bit of a thread invasion but is it worth upgrading my Dyson cordless to the newest version? I do love mine but it’s getting on...

Stephisaur · 17/06/2018 09:50

Got to disagree here. Henry hoovers are the dogs bollocks.

I can’t do my entire house with a Dustin handheld, so it’s a waste of money for me! Would have LTB for bringing that home, unless he plans on doing all vacuuming from now on Grin

People seem to live Henry but honestly, you can't tell I've even hovered my bedroom after he's done it. It's ok for the very flat, no pile carpet but anything else it doesn't pick up properly. I do like the long hose and handle for getting cobwebs though.

Whisky2014 · 17/06/2018 10:02

Henry hoovers are actually really good. Dyson wont last as long. I have a hand held vax and its fab. I have a large house and it only needs one battery to do the lot. :)

Singlebutmarried · 17/06/2018 10:06

Ok so the Dyson handheld replaced an old knackered (10 yr old) Dyson handheld that we’d inherited.

Also have for the carpets upstairs a Dyson animal upright thing (nearly 11 yrs old)

A vax cylinder for downstairs (hard flooring) and an upright vax for cleaning the carpets.

I do love a good vacuum.

Our ancient Dyson died recently and people on here recommended a Shark Liftaway so DH went out and bought one. He says it's brilliant. I don't do the vacuuming so haven't used it but he is dead impressed with it.
We've never had one, but why so much hatred for Henry?

reluctantbrit · 17/06/2018 10:09

DH just bought a new hoover last week. He loves research and as I hardly ever use it, our cleaner does, I can’t be bothered wasting time for it.

The only things I do research are irons and washing machines as these are my responsibilities and I need to know I get what I need.

AintNobodyHereButUsKittens · 17/06/2018 10:17

You should never buy a vacuum cleaner off Amazon because you need to feel the weight and height for yourself. My vacuum cleaner is a rather good nearly new Miele Cat and Dog which my parents bought online and then had to replace when neither they nor their cleaner could lift it.

Bubbles121 · 17/06/2018 10:18

Oh now I want a new Hoover. (Casts baleful eye over DP sitting obliviously sipping his latte and not reading my mind and leaping up to buy new Hoover Wink)

Sparrowlegs248 · 17/06/2018 14:19

EmmaGrundy Henry is just shit at vacuuming. It's ok for my landing and boys room which have the no pile sort of carpet. It can't even get sock fluff or my hairs off my bedroom carpet.

SluttyButty · 17/06/2018 14:25

If he comes back with a Dyson V10 then keep him and you'll both be blown away at its amazingness.

If he comes back with anything else then you can roll your eyes and tut whilst muttering about should have looked at reviews first 😂
