I've just had a brief scan on here to see if anyone has posted, but apparently D&V Beckham are announcing their divorce today? Reports saying he's got Harper's teacher pregnant!

Anyone else heard this? Bookies have suspended betting on it!

WittyJack agreed, I thought that was particularly odd.

Nicknacky perhaps people have different interests?

Confusedbeetle I don't know either of them (sadly, I would love to know DB if I'm honest!) I wish I didn't care but sometimes extreme boredom at work leads me to dark places!

AhhhhThatsBass two people have told me it'll be 4pm today but I cannot for the life of me work out where this gossip is coming from!

Apparently reps for the couple have come out and said it's all fake social media news Blush.

I'll go back in my box now!

How old are their children? Are they all adults?

MaryMcCarthy · 08/06/2018 15:35

'Apparently' is widely misused. Look it up in a dictionary. It doesn't change meaning just because enough people use it incorrectly.

StealthPolarBear · 08/06/2018 15:36

Clearly not if one is at school.
I'll put my brain back in

PlumsInTheIcebox · 08/06/2018 15:36

God, I thought you meant Mitchell and Coren at first.

ilovesooty · 08/06/2018 15:37

It seems pretty distasteful to me that soany people seem to be enjoying this, whether it's true or not.

FatBottomedGal · 08/06/2018 15:37

How are you still going on about the word 'apparently'?? Please see actual Cambridge Dictionary definition below and speak to them if you have any further concerns.

Although they have now said it’s nonsense in the Sun. Which probably means the Sun on Sunday are running the exclusive split story.

A4710Rider · 08/06/2018 15:38

So I've been told the name of the third person involved and what they do for a living. Interesting. As it's spreading like wildfire the announcement could be this afternoon.

YABU. Mostly for posting in AIBU not in Sleb Twaddle.

multivac · 08/06/2018 15:44

It doesn't change meaning just because enough people use it incorrectly

Of course it does. That's exactly how language works. cf 'awful'; 'terrific'; 'nice', for starters...

RubySapphireEmerald · 08/06/2018 15:45

Pmsl at the bookies suspending betting on it. [grin[.

I suspect it’s all a bit of a publicity stunt to get her publicity for whatever line she’s about to come out with next in her “fashion” business or whatever it is she does.

Let’s face it neither of them have exactly covered themselves in glory here. It’s common knowledge that he’s cheated on her before and she only married him for the beckham brand anyway so likely a marriage of convenience for both of them at this point.

But in any rate it takes all sorts and people marry and stay together for all manner of reasons. I am somewhat Hmm at the people posting (under nicknames) that it’s definitely true and that they heard it from a trusted friend etc etc etc.

Thishatisnotmine · 08/06/2018 15:46

plums Grin

NotARegularPenguin · 08/06/2018 15:47

I feel sorry for them, I feel sorry for their kids and I feel sorry for Harper’s teacher.

VB does either use mumsnet or at least has been aware of threads about her on here in the past.

She mentioned mumsnet in an interview with Now magazine years ago which talked about the apparant academic ability of her kids and she wasn’t very impressed.

StealthPolarBear · 08/06/2018 15:47

I don't believe they only married for the brand. For a start there was no brand before they were married. She was a singer he was a footballer, they were both young and single. Is it that unlikely they would love each other

Nicknacky · 08/06/2018 15:48

Op I get that people have different interests but they must think you are a super fan if they think they need to text you about this!

danci · 08/06/2018 15:48

Yes, I remember the divorce denials a few days before Guy and Madonna, Brad and Jen, Kim and Chris, Kris and Bruce//Caitlyn all split so that means nowt.

Isawthelight · 08/06/2018 15:49

You apparently don't know what "apparently" means

Apparantly you don't know what it means MaryMcCarthy

danci · 08/06/2018 15:49

I don’t think they married for the brand either. Posh had PCOS and she knew it so thought she might struggle to conceive so was genuinely made up when she had a family.
