I think they are ugly and make women/girls look ridiculous. AIBU?

KittenBeast · 02/06/2018 19:06

I have given you my answer. I personally think it is ugly on men. Fortunately most of the men I meet wear long trousers

I don't mind the look of it on a bloke, but for fucks sake it tickles and itches when you're being intimate. I hate it. It's for similar reasons I rid myself of leg fuzz. Silly me.

When one in nine boys are sexually assaulted by the end of primary school, I will give a shit. As it is I’ll continue to look at the affect of such fashions on women and girls

CantankerousCamel · 02/06/2018 19:07

Kitten
Do you often ‘get intimate’ with your armpit?

It only tickles when you’ve just shaved and it’s growing back.

Stubble is the worst. DH is happy to never have to deal with it again

Racecardriver · 02/06/2018 19:08

I prefer middle sizes heels. But high heels only tend to look silly when women who can't walk in them wear them.

DioneTheDiabolist · 02/06/2018 19:10

Also all the footballers and rugby players not to mention reality TV stars who are now totally hair free.
Except for the hair on their heads. Which is sometimes natural and sometimes a decent or not so decent transplant. Men are no freer from the constraints of society than women. And when it comes to clothing, they are more restricted.

Aria2015 · 02/06/2018 19:12

I think a killer pair of heels can look just that, killer. Sadly I can't walk a foot in anything over 2.5 inches!

Wishmeluck2018 · 02/06/2018 19:12

yanbu although our fashion world have a very different view

What does fedale fashion have to do with sexual assault of girls in primary school. Confused

DioneTheDiabolist · 02/06/2018 19:15

That should be female fashion.

LassWiADelicateAir · 02/06/2018 19:15

Of course it’s because society expects women to look younger and to crave looking younger. I can’t beleive that’s not blindingly obvious to everyone and anyone

I think it is blindingly obvious that shaving or not shaving one's legs makes absolutely no difference to how old a woman looks.

I’m saying that having armpit hair is better for stink prevention than shaving

I think you missed out the words In your personal experience

CantankerousCamel · 02/06/2018 19:15

Dione

Sexualising prepubescent bodies has an obvious affect on society. Making women ‘only sexy if their hairless’ is a big part of that

QuackPorridgeBacon · 02/06/2018 19:16

I don’t wear them as they are uncomfortable. But I wouldn’t say they look ridiculous on every woman... quite an odd thing to say actually. You can say you don’t like the look of heels, but on people? That’s just weird.

KittenBeast · 02/06/2018 19:17

No @Cantankerous I don't, I was talking about hair on men, when he wants to spoon and we're both wearing shorts, the tickle of his masses of leg hair against the backs of my legs is hugely irritating, and as I've said previously, I let my pits do their thing for months at a time because I find waxing satisfying, But that is by the by, I think we're missing the point.

WTAF? I have no response to this.

CantankerousCamel · 02/06/2018 19:19

His leg hair is only irritating because you don’t have any of your own.

Also I find it’s easier to be intimate without the shorts :-)

LassWiADelicateAir · 02/06/2018 19:19

I don't choose what I wear or do to look sexy. My role models / style models and my own style are not based on appearing sexy.

CantankerousCamel · 02/06/2018 19:20

Lass

Great. We are talking about society, not ‘you’

DioneTheDiabolist · 02/06/2018 19:22

I am unaware of any correlation between child sex abuse rates and adult women removing body hair. Do you have any evidence for it?

CantankerousCamel · 02/06/2018 19:24

Dione

Again, back to that common sense thing

Unless you’re able to give me ANY realistic reason why adult human females are taught to remove all signs they’ve gone through puberty, then I will continue to have the opinions I do.

KittenBeast · 02/06/2018 19:25

*His leg hair is only irritating because you don’t have any of your own.

I don't have any chest or stomach hair either, but I still find his irritating when we're having a shag, but like I said, we're missing the point here.

KittenBeast · 02/06/2018 19:27

They aren't, I never was, I shave my legs, my triangle is yeti-like. Some people choose to remove it, some people don't, it's not that hard to understand.

DontDrinkDontSmoke · 02/06/2018 19:31

Have a look at Hotter shoes then tell me what’s ugly

CantankerousCamel · 02/06/2018 19:32

Why do they choose to remove it?

Why do so many women choose to remove their body hair? Why does society expect it?

KittenBeast · 02/06/2018 19:35

Also I find it’s easier to be intimate without the shorts
And here, I didn't want to say 'when he's fucking me from behind' because, y'know, the patriarchy.

KittenBeast · 02/06/2018 19:36

It doesn't. Some just do.
