What's to like about them? They look like chocolate but don't taste like chocolate, they are dry, rubbish for dunking. I don't get it.

You don’t like them, but many many other people do like them.

That’s mostly how the world works. We all like different stuff.

3luckystars · 30/05/2018 20:11

Horrible yokes

Halebeke425 · 30/05/2018 20:11

Oh, I wish I was just pretending to like the bastard things! Some serious self control issues over here. I'm just glad jammy dodgers changed their recipe to include milk so I can't eat them anymore, there was many a 'snaccident' with those. Now it's just Oreos, delicious with peanut butter Blush

resignedtoresigning · 30/05/2018 20:11

Mmm double stuf mint Oreos....YABU on those ones. However the peanut butter ones are like peanut flavoured sand, vile.

Elledouble · 30/05/2018 20:11

They’re horrible. Also suitable for vegans so what exactly are they made of?! Soil and Vaseline is my guess.

DarthLipgloss · 30/05/2018 20:11

YANBU..grim non chocolatey imposters. It's Bourbons all the way imo..particurlarly if you can find the endangered caster sugar dusted ones.

IStillMissBlockbuster · 30/05/2018 20:13

They're shit! I don't get the appeal! The middle stuff is ok but you get that in the far superior custard creams

ToadOfSadness · 30/05/2018 20:14

I used to buy them until I realised about the palm oil. It is difficult to find any biscuits without it now.

They were never that great but I could eat them in the absence of anything else but that is probably because all my favourites had become crappier anyway. I remember when biscuits were something to look forward to. Can't even get decent crackers any more, Jacobs have gone soggy and palm oil infested.

TroubledLichen · 30/05/2018 20:14

You need to try the chocolate Oreos that’s where it’s at! Personally I love Oreos and unlike most sweet treats they are suitable for vegans if anyone knows any.

Shalva1970 · 30/05/2018 20:16

Oreo’s are vegan so god knows what they are made of!

Dobbythesockelf · 30/05/2018 20:16

They are horrible but I thought I was the only person that thought so.

CadyHeron · 30/05/2018 20:18
Shock

YABVU! Oreos are yum. Especially the mint ones. Droool

TomPinch · 30/05/2018 20:18

They are like a lot of American foodstuffs: a triumph of marketing over flavour.

M&Ms, Oreos, Hersheys, Pringles: all shit.

Especially when compared to Smarties, Cadburies and just a normal packet of crisps made from actual potato.

Sandyfeet101 · 30/05/2018 20:18

I love them, especially the thins!

Ragwort · 30/05/2018 20:18

Love them, especially the peanut butter ones - it is that slightly salty, dry taste that I find really nice. Have stopped eating them now that I am on Boot Camp Grin.

StylishMummy · 30/05/2018 20:19

Oreos dunked in cold whole milk is the food of gods. Plus very low cal!

RoseDog · 30/05/2018 20:19

The6 try to kill me by giving me indigestion, I have never felt pain like it!

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 30/05/2018 20:20

Finally.

I hate the things but always thought I was the only one.

UnsalariedPost · 30/05/2018 20:21

YABU to think people pretend to like Oreos. I think the people who eat them must actually like to do that for one reason or another. Faulty taste buds, a desire to punish themselves, or they're on a slimming diet and they want to have a biscuit that they can only barely eat one of.
You are not being unreasonable to wonder why anybody would eat them for pleasure.

Pressuredrip · 30/05/2018 20:21

Yabu. It's bourbons and custard creams that are shit. Bourbons taste like cardboard and have a crappy texture compared to Oreos. Custard creams are far, far too sweet.

Snugglepumpkin · 30/05/2018 20:21

Oreos should not be on the biscuit aisle at all.
I don't know what they are, but I am sure they are not biscuits.

AlexaAmbidextra · 30/05/2018 20:22

I’ve never tasted one. They look vile. 🤮

concretesieve · 30/05/2018 20:22

YANBU. Chocolate bourbons rule! BertieBotts- can't believe I'd forgotten the coffee ones - completely agree they're odd but nice.

DustyMaiden · 30/05/2018 20:23

I agree, I had an Oreo ice lolly last week. It tasted like a lolly dipped in sawdust.

BlooBagoo · 30/05/2018 20:24

I thought I was the only one, we do buy them but that's so if the kids want a biscuit they can and it isn't something I'll want to sneak with a coffee.

I also can't stand bourbons. Blush
