I ponder whether I'd really like to be a cat if I take into consideration the fact that I'd have to lick myself clean, and couldn't read books. Being a human is currently winning.

My cats have the best life ever. They're indoor girls due to medical issues (have option of garden but they won't go out there) and they just sleep on my bed all day, waking only to chase a bit of string, have a cuddle or eat.

Both of mine are at home, no doubt sleeping. I'm jealous of all (well cared for) pet cats.

I haven't made the bed today because I don't want to disturb the cat... He lives a charmed life, DH sometimes playfully asks him what he contributes to the household and cat meows back, which I interpret as him justifying his position.

I'm jealous of your cat. I actually do a fairly convincing meow and can easily sleep 18 hours a day if you are looking for a second pet

I'm currently sat in the Vets with mine as he's been fighting yet again and has a big cut in his shoulder. We're both not happy with each other

Strikes me that cats have got it all sussed. They send US out to work to pay the mortgage to keep a roof over their heads and a cupboard with Whiskas in it, and we think we're doing well in life because, well, jobs and cars and that, and they're just doing what we're working towards i.e. retirement, without working towards not having to work anymore.

Oh god, humans are idiots.

Also, if you're a cat, people like you more the fatter you get. And you ALWAYS look good.

My cat started losing fur and the vet asked if he was under stress. I had to laugh because all he does is eat, sleep, potter around the neighborhood, get petted, etc. it’s hardly a stressful life!

Mine are complete bastards, as I'm getting dressed for work they mooch upstairs to settle down for the day, having had breakfast and a wander in the garden. I am terminally jealous, and have put myself on the list for reincarnation.

I have long told anybody who will listen the kids and dh that I am coming back as a cat. Specifically as our cat AKA the Fur Princess

I've wanted to be a cat since I was about 2, it sure looks like it beats being an adult

My cat lives my dream life. Sleeping, sunbathing, eating and being stroked by my dh. The kids don’t bother her as she can bite but they love her enough to include her in their drawings of the family. Lucky lucky cat
