To think women are conditioned to sound perform in bed?

VogueVVague · 27/05/2018 21:50

I mean making way more noise in bed than their male partners.

Like if you watch a standard film or (whisper it) porn, the actress is always gasping and moaning and whimpering whereas the bloke is just getting on with it.

Made me realise that i do actually exaggerate it myself and wondering why is it that media has tried to condition women to do this? And not men?

I think that means they’re entirely selfish.

Discussionoftheday1 · 27/05/2018 22:26

I had a bloke who was a yeller once 'AHHHH, AHHHH, AHHHHHHHHHHH... AAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH Hmm ffs

Butterflykissess · 27/05/2018 22:27

Also been with alot of men in my younger days (none now!) And they were all deadly silent. No noise at all.

PoorYorick · 27/05/2018 22:28

I'm naturally quiet or silent (I'm trying to get my breath!) but my husband likes sound, so I don't mind playing it up a bit. He does more than enough to make sure I'm happy so it's totally fair.

SmiledWithTheRisingSun · 27/05/2018 22:32

Hmmm I actually like making lots of noise these days.
But can't when kids are possibly awake in the other room obvs.
I'm sure that I didn't used to make so much noise when I was younger. But it def gets me more into the whole thing now.
Although if I'm in an irritated mood I have also been known to go from moans of ecstasy to moaning at DH about something mid shag Hmm

kabanner · 27/05/2018 22:32

I just tell them that they are turning me on and how but only if they are, if not then what to do.
Once had someone tell me they was a power shag. Just reminded me good sex is all about connection and communication.

SmiledWithTheRisingSun · 27/05/2018 22:33

Lol at "ram it to me big boy" penguin 🤣

thegreatbeyond · 27/05/2018 22:33

This thread reminds me of the one where the guy kept saying "Penetrationnnnnnn!" during sex :)

thegreatbeyond · 27/05/2018 22:35

Personally, I find it the ideal time to check if there are any cobwebs or the ceiling needs painting. I have tried to interest my husband in these topics to pass the time, but he doesn't really engage. Not sure what I am doing wrong.

Whisky2014 · 27/05/2018 22:36

100% yes. Today I had sex and was pretty quiet but i wanted him to get a move on and started making noise...job done Hmm

annandale · 27/05/2018 22:38

I hate having to be silent, it puts me off a lot, and a dead silent partner is like trying to fish in the dark. I agree with echolocation Grin I like dirty talk in theory but it's easy to say something that's a total turnoff at least it seems so as all the partners I've had have been terrible at it

DownstairsMixUp · 27/05/2018 22:38

I can't stop laughing at these replies 😂😂 I've slept with quite a lot of people, most men made a noise on orgasm. Who would want a screamer how off putting

BrutusMcDogface · 27/05/2018 22:39

I'm quieter than my dp! Though at times I've been pretty noisy, completely involuntarily! Blush

Crinkle77 · 27/05/2018 22:39

I am naturally quite quiet and I have never felt that I have to make any noise just to flatter my male partners ego.

MrsHappyAndMrCool · 27/05/2018 22:42

Woah I don’t usually join in, in these kind of subjects but I guess there is a first time for everything Grin

I would find it so difficult to be quiet, I don’t think I would be able to. The only time DH makes a sound is when he has “you know what” and it’s not loud, but in reality he is not really a talkative person.

SpeckledDot · 27/05/2018 22:42

I love a noisy man Grin

JaceLancs · 27/05/2018 22:43

It’s been a while......
I’ve had quite a few partners and although everyone is different most men I’ve had sex with make some noise in terms of heavy breathing or mild grunting or occasional phrases like ‘oh yeesssss’ etc
I’m fairly similar - can be quiet if needed eg al fresco or when DC were young, but generally just go with the flow of what I feel like

TheVeryHungryDieter · 27/05/2018 22:44

You've all just highlighted a recent discussion DH and I have been having. He's very upset and frustrated that I make noises rather than say "up a bit! Down a bit! That good! Yes right there! Keep going! That's the spot! Ok, now slow down!" Even though the noises I make are for his benefit because I know he likes certain things.

And I think having to recite the fucking instruction manual is a massive turnoff.

The other night I told him I was "so close" ...and then he stopped because he wanted directions. "So close" isn't "you need to do X, Y and Z next", it's simply "you make me feel so good". This is the reason we don't have oral anymore even though he loves it - because having to constantly be the backseat driver for his tongue is tedious as fuck and I don't get anything out of calling out directions like a quiz show contestant.

I'd rather read a book.

JaceLancs · 27/05/2018 22:45

I’ve occasionally cried too (happiness) just so moved by love, a deep connection and near perfect sex
Sat here remembering what I’m missing

VogueVVague · 27/05/2018 22:46

@DownstairsMixUp
Oh sure, all of mine have made a noise on orgasm, i mean silent in the build up rather than being like "mmmm yeah ooh ooh oh oh yeah uh uh uhhhhhhh YES oooh!" like women do in porn! Grin

I've been pretty silent for years now because of the children. We now often have them all off early in the morning or out of the house for the night and it is SO much better being vocal!

Whisky2014 · 27/05/2018 22:47

Cried? Oh god

donajimena · 27/05/2018 22:47

Play your cards right per chance veryhungry ? Grin

Stillwishihadabs · 27/05/2018 22:48

Our favourite phrase is " your aims a bit off" or "is my aim off"ok we're weird I'll get my coat

LittleRen · 27/05/2018 22:49

I would find it weird if my dh was silent... I mean he isn’t groaning all the way through or anything but he does say stuff to me every so often. I make noises because it’s natural to me, I am enjoying it. Silent sex would be odd I think.

I do find it weird on the odd occasion he doesn’t do a grunting kind of noise when he finishes as I am always thinking hmm have you finished or not
