Sorry for using aibu. I need some advice, I don't have a GP at the moment and I'm wondering if this can wait until I can register when we've moved?

My period is so heavy, I've got pain in my abdomen, thighs and shoulder. I'm definitely not pregnant as I did a test last week but so far today I've saturated a cheap reusable pad, to my clothes, had to buy new underwear and jeans and i bought 3 packs of normal pads. I've saturated 4 night time pads since 4pm today, I had to come home from our lovely night out early as I just felt so Unclean and in a lot of discomfort.

Iv had a bath and that usually stops the bleeding for a bit but it didn't this time and when I got in it looked like a massacre!

Aibu? Should I just ride it out and see if I can register with a GP ASAP or does this need something sooner than next period?

Thanks

@fattygettingthin omg you poor thing. Glad you got the help you needed

Firework1 · 22/05/2018 16:46

Hey lovely
So sorry for your loss. Lucie and The Bump on YouTube has gone through a similar loss, please watch her video, it has nothing to do with weight my lovely, take care of you xxx

bluemascara · 22/05/2018 17:35

@fattygettingthin definitely not caused by your weight. I am also overweight and asked whether it was a factor. The doctor said it wasn't... the only risk factor I had was age, as in 35 or over.
Only 40% of ectopic have got one of the risk factors. The rest are completely unexplained.
If you are on fb there are a number of support groups which I've found really helpful.

Get up and wander as much as you can, and drink lots of water also. Like gallons lol it will help get your bowels moving again.

Look after yourself xx

MistAmougstElephants · 22/05/2018 17:48

Flowers heres hoping for a swift recovery OP. You've been very brave.

CheeseRollingChampion · 22/05/2018 17:56

Your weight is not a factor. I wish you a swift recovery. I'm glad you got help in time.

MilkyCoffeeAndSkinnySyrup · 22/05/2018 18:01

Definitely not to do with your weight OP! It's just bad luck Hun. I had 2 EP's then went on to have a healthy pregnancy and neither of the two I had had any cause or reasons as to why it happened x

pandarific · 22/05/2018 18:18

You poor thing op. Flowers

Bratsandtwats · 22/05/2018 18:35

Get well soon OP.

The fact they went open rather than laparoscopic means you must have been REALLY poorly.

Although you didn't even know you were pregnant, don't be surprised if this hits you harder (emotionally) than you think.

SouthernComforts · 22/05/2018 18:39

Flowers I saw this late last night, so glad you got help so quickly.

unintentionalthreadkiller · 22/05/2018 18:42

Oh my goodness, I'm glad you made that call to 111. Hope you recover well Thanks

MissStegosaurus · 22/05/2018 18:48

Im so glad you got help op. You'll probably feel quite emotional now. That's normal. Take your time to process what you've been through Flowers

LakieLady · 22/05/2018 19:40

Hope you soon start to feel better, OP. Flowers

And good work by 111 to send an ambulance.

Paperthin · 22/05/2018 19:40

Wishing you speedy recovery OP Flowers

GlitteryFluff · 22/05/2018 20:14

Oh my goodness. I bet you're glad you posted and listened to the advice!
Hope you physically recover quickly Thanks and hope you're actually ok too, must have been a shock. Thanks

8pinksnails · 22/05/2018 20:56

Wow OP! So glad you're okay, sending a big hug and please don't think your weight is to blame Thanks

LoniceraJaponica · 22/05/2018 22:16

Thank goodness you posted on here, thank goodness you were given the right advice and thank goodness you received the correct and prompt treatment. It makes a nice change to read something positive about the NHS.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery Flowers

springmachine · 22/05/2018 23:04

So pleased to read you got to hospital in time.
Wishing you a speedy recovery.
It doesn't bare thinking about how this may have turned out had you not come on for advise.

ThanksThanks

SimonBridges · 22/05/2018 23:17

Just catching up on this.
So glad you are ok and you got good advice on here.

LoniceraJaponica · 22/05/2018 23:20

This is mumsnet at its best. I think some of the posters on here can take credit for saving the OP's life.

boatyardblues · 23/05/2018 00:19

Sorry to hear you needed surgery - I had bookmarked the thread to check you were OK. The ambulance trip to A&E was not a moment too soon by the sound of things. Glad you are in safe hands. How is your DP bearing up? Must have been a fright for both of you. Flowers

ItWillAllBeFine · 23/05/2018 06:49

LoniceraJaponica I was just thinking the same thing. This is an amazing thread. I'm so sorry you've had this awful experience OP, but I definitely learned stuff here which could save someone else's life too.

whyhastherumgone · 23/05/2018 08:22

OP I just wanted to post and echo what some other posters have said, even though you didn't know you were pregnant, that doesn't mean you can't mourn your loss and it might hit harder than you expect.

I think threads like this should be pinned somewhere incase anyone else has the same symptoms and is browsing for advice! Truly mumsnet at its best for sure.

Wishing you all the best @fattygetsthin and as others have said there is absolutely nothing you could have done to cause this, it wasn't your weight or anything else it's terribly unfair but it's just the way it goes sometimes and I hope all the posts to the affect have ensured you don't blame yourself in any way. x

fattygettingthin · 23/05/2018 11:36

Feeling slightly more human today but not much! Dr 1 would like me home later on today, but I'm not sure if I feel ready? I'm so exhausted. Yes I think it has hit me emotionally last night I was crying a lot but that is probably to be expected.

I can't thank the people on this thread enough I'm
So grateful I posted
