I've seen that meme of her 'unhappy face' going round and all the headlines about it and I just feel so sorry for the poor girl. She and Harry broke up years ago and are obviously just good friends now and in a whole day where there are multiple photos of her smiling, looking happy and hugging the bride, one shot where she happens to not look actively thrilled has been blown out of all proportion.

It promotes this stupid, misogynistic narrative that her life is rubbish because she didn't marry a prince, and that she's regretting all her choices now that she can see the one who got away, when the truth is she's a successful woman living, by all appearances, perfectly happily!

The wedding easier worse than big brother house.

Today I was re watching it, toddler was crazy during it so couldn't concentrate.

Anyway.. Just re watching it abd the vows.. Where Harry looks down struggling to keep it all in, wipes tears.. And says his vows with an camera close up on his face.... In this most intimate moment where he makes his vows to the woman he loves..

Something struck me and I felt embarrassed!! Everyone had such close ups... Every angle covered...it's weird..

Someone posted on another thread that back in the 1980s, picture editors would choose pix of Diana looking gorgeous, and Fergie looking odd (even though odd Diana and gorgeous Fergie pix were also available) simply because they wanted to feed a certain narrative.

I'm ready to bet that's what's going on here.

specialsubject My Dh invited his ex, she's lovely, old relationships don't always mean jealousy and bitterness all round, she's been a good friend to me and DH over the years.

I love how people can tell she was 'contemplating' things from a fleeting facial expression. bloody hell, you guys are as bad as the paps for making shit up.
as for spending 95% of weddings grinning.....you've been to different weddings than me.

Is she not doing law now?

Nope. She has her own gem mine... as you do.

You have to grin so that you don't get snapped in the background picking your nose or contemplating a fart...
