When the couple were making their vows - heads firmly in programmes

402 you can file it as whatever you like since (and I'm not sure where random internet info comes into it!) but she had ordinary morning sickness - which is horrible, but not hg.

And no, I think Kate exaggerating her condition is the thing which trivialises hg, not people saying that the evidence is absolutely clear that she had ordinary morning sickness and shouldn't claim otherwise simply to mask the silly hysteria during the first weeks of her first pregnancy. I think too many people don't understand hg as opposed to bad morning sickness. You seem to be making this a bit too much about yourself tbh.

goodbyestranger · 21/05/2018 09:45

since

Bluelady · 21/05/2018 10:08

You seem a bit over invested in this, Goodbye.

HasAnyoneGotAProblemWithThat · 21/05/2018 10:14

It really annoys me when people trivialise others health conditions. I had years of your so unfit, you have no pain threshold, you’re imagining it. My RA diagnosis was such a relief as I’d started to doubt myself. Unless you have Kate’s medical notes then you have no idea what you are talking about.

InkSnail · 21/05/2018 10:15

No, my comments weren't "anti rich". More the case that there isn't necessarily a direct correlation between how hard someone works and how much money they have. Does a footballer work harder than a nurse, or a poker player harder than a teacher?

C8H10N4O2 · 21/05/2018 10:21

not sure where random internet info

You. You have some random source you can't cite. That makes you the random gossip on the internet.

You seem to be making this a bit too much about yourself tbh

Nice try.

Its about you, repeating the tropes that women lie and that women lie and exaggerate about pregnancy concerns.

You have made a claim that a woman/women lied about having HG, you have presented zero evidence. I shall continue to regard your opinions accordingly.

HTH. HAND

LarryFreakinStylinson · 21/05/2018 10:22

goodbyestranger are you Kate or a member of the RF or a member of staff treating her during her pregnancies? If not I don’t understand how you can be so adamant that ‘all’ she had was run of the mill morning sickness. Odd behaviour.

BurberryIsSo2000 · 21/05/2018 10:27

I have to agree with Larry

I suffered severe HG, sick in labour. Sick from 6 weeks pregnant. I was on the floor shaking through a lot of my pregnancy, wondering when it would all end. It gave me severe antenatal depression. I was hospitalised a good few times.

But that's very extreme and if you're so sick that you're hospitalised like Kate was, then I would definitely class it as HG.

Although, she may have still been feeling rotten after 12 weeks. From weeks 12 to 18 I was out and about more, being sick far less but felt like I was so nauseous 24/7.

Then 20 weeks cake and I was back to being in hospital Envy

BurberryIsSo2000 · 21/05/2018 10:28

Also, most ladies usually feel a lot better by week week 18+, and don't feel sick or physically vomit for the rest of the pregnancy. They still have HG

RoseWhiteTips · 21/05/2018 10:31

The Queen was not impressed; Kate looked tight lipped at times. I saw little approval.

(Just to add: I have only seen stills since I didn’t watch it live. But still...)

Hollyboobieboo · 21/05/2018 10:41

I get what you’re saying that some people are working a lot harder for less pay than others. I think in the sense the footballer and Poker player still put in a lot of hours of training to improve and maintain their skill, so they are putting in the hours but working hard in a different way. However, doing something you would enjoy as a hobby for a living has definitely got to be a lot more enjoyable. And yes, people in the entertainment / sporting industries get paid obscene amounts for what they do and it’s not fair that teachers and nurses who contribute so much for society are so poorly compensated.

goodbyestranger · 21/05/2018 10:59

No I'm most definitely not Kate Middleton! What a ghastly idea! (also if I was Kate I'd be needing to keep up the front so it doesn't even make sense).

I can be adamant if I want to be, especially when correct.

goodbyestranger · 21/05/2018 11:01

Larry as someone with severe morning sickness with all my many pregnancies can I just say you appear to be minimising 'ordinary' morning sickness. Its grim - but not hg.

goodbyestranger · 21/05/2018 11:16

402 I've just read your post about my attitude to childbirth.

I have had my first child in neonatal intensive care on the critical list and watched her for days being told she would most likely die.

I had a major PPH with my second child and had the SWAT team called in to save my life.

My fourth son had his cord wrapped around his neck during delivery.

I have certainly suffered from post-natal depression, not helped by personal external circumstances.

I have also suffered most of the symptoms described above for hg, short of being put on a drip. But it was morning sickness, not hg. There's a difference.

Userplusnumbers · 21/05/2018 11:20

If one of the defining features of HG is that it lasts all through pregnancy then how is anyone possibly diagnosed with it until after the fact?!

theredjellybean · 21/05/2018 11:22

I hrtwt but everyone saying poor Kate she must be knackered... Ummmm.. She has two full time nannies for three children, two of whom attend full time school or nursery. She does not have to cook or clean or do laundry, she does not have to do school run, she does not have to currently do any 'work'.. So yep must be exhausted poor thing 🤔

derxa · 21/05/2018 11:29

She does make quite a fuss about pregnancy though, to be fair (ie normal morning sickness in the first trimester = hg for Kate Middleton, hospitalisation, masses of fuss as though no-one had ever had morning sickness before etc etc) Oh bore off. I had severe morning sickness and it was hell.

Shockers · 21/05/2018 11:32

I always look down at weddings because I get emotional!

LaurieMarlow · 21/05/2018 11:34

she had ordinary morning sickness - which is horrible, but not hg.

Given that you have no access at all to her medical records, you're being ridiculous to think you can assert this.

Cuppaoftea · 21/05/2018 11:58

Charles was gracious and showed very genuine emotion, William supportive in his role as best man, Kate was conscientiously watching George and Charlotte who performed their parts amazingly well at only 4 and 3 years old.

Philip, looking very frail, made a big effort to show up and I agree with those saying the Queen was likely concerned for him.

Do I think most Royals are thrilled at Meghan joining the Family? No because of her clear political and celebrity ambitions. But Charles approved Harry's choice and as long as he and Meghan are privately happy does it matter.

A private wedding would have been better from the point of view of Meghan's family not being exposed to such scrutiny in the run up to the day and more appropriate for the sixth in line to the throne really. However Harry and Meghan wanted their moment in the spotlight and were given it.

Now they either get on with taking their place as minor Royals and do their bit working quietly or spend most of their time chasing celebrity in America hanging out with the Obamas, Clooneys and Oprah.

My money's on the latter but that won’t be relevant to the RF's standing in the UK. Charles then William will do a good job after the Queen and George, Charlotte and Louis are the little stars of the future now.

Hygge · 21/05/2018 12:02

goodbyestranger the thing is you don't know anything about her, or her HG or any other aspect of her pregnancy.

Some random journo gossiping unofficially isn't fact.

We could just as easily say that your experieces which you've posted about here are exaggerated and not true, or you've over-reacted to what really happened to you and that it wasn't as bad as you've said. But why would we assume that we know better than you about your own experience? It would be a weird thing to do considering none of us know you or have access to your medical information.

Hillingdon · 21/05/2018 12:11

Well said Cuppa. Some on this threat are miserable bints who think the RF have the time of their lives without really doing any work at all!

They are constantly picked and looked at, filmed etc. They cannot leave the house without being pestered for photos, selfies etc. They can never be caught in their nightie or slippers.

Megan's stray hair has caused endless questions (it shows all the money in the world will not necessarily get you a good hair do).

Apparently 2 billion people watched. Of course those who want to get rid of the RF - for what? King Blair, Queen Teresa? Or some one like Yunker or god forbid Corbyn and Mcdonnell?

The Queen is still going in her 90's. How many of us will be doing that? Everything that the RF do is splashed over the papers. Pictures will be taken and then analysed as to what they were really thinking or doing. There are some on this site going into the tinest details.

I liked the wedding. I know Windsor well. They are very good looking couple and I suspect can afford to take some risks because he is 6th in line to the throne.

RoseWhiteTips · 21/05/2018 12:15

PH is not good looking!

GnotherGnu · 21/05/2018 12:24

I found it odd, I never saw one image of the Queen with a smile on her face.

I certainly saw her smiling when she was on the way to church. It's perfectly reasonable for her to take a church service seriously.

C8H10N4O2 · 21/05/2018 12:25

402 I've just read your post about my attitude to childbirth

No you haven't because I didn't write one.
