Meghan's dress was lovely but lumpy looking,/ill fitting bra look

Anyone else notice how lumpy it looked at front like when you wear a bra that's two small and you have two cleavages lt spoiled it for me tbh though l think she looked stunning. I thought it might just be the light as it is quite shimmery but have noticed it in several shots /light now. A wardrobe malfunction?

And having kids past 30 is dangerous because there's more risk of downs etc and your fertility plummets meaning you'll probably need IVF and a C section.

Absolute nonsense.

blueskypink · 20/05/2018 08:34

Speechless

Yorkshirebetty · 20/05/2018 08:46

having kids past 30 is dangerous how absurd. I actually only know a couple of people who had kids before 30!!

LaurieMarlow · 20/05/2018 08:55

The crap spouted on here would make you weep. Are people really this stupid?

MissEliza · 20/05/2018 08:57

I think a pp said it was 'very Meghan' and I think that's exactly what a wedding dress should be. It should reflect your personal style.

QueenOfTheAndals · 20/05/2018 08:57

Not only people but doctors too, it would seem...

SamanthaBrique · 20/05/2018 08:59

Meghan's dress was £525?? For a bespoke Givenchy by their head designer? Sign me up for 2 when I next get married then! Seriously, has Mumsnet really dumbed down in the past few weeks or what?

Dancergirl · 20/05/2018 09:32

I would have liked to have seen her drive the jag herself.

Why is it always the man that drives??

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 20/05/2018 09:46

Maybe she wanted him to drive Hmm
Why would you have liked her to drive?

mydogisthebest · 20/05/2018 09:49

I thought when they got in the car she was going to drive then realised it was left hand drive.

Even if she had wanted to drive it would not have been very easy in that long dress and those shoes

BertrandRussell · 20/05/2018 09:51

I thought she was going to drive for a moment and was pleased about it. But probably not in those shoes! Who's car was it?

NoSquirrels · 20/05/2018 09:58

I suspect it wasn't her car! And she was wearing a party frock and heels - who drives in heels? Would have rather ruined the moment if she'd changed into sensible driving flats...

What more do you want from the poor girl?

She walked down the aisle alone, with page boys not female attendants.

Her new husband is wearing a wedding ring, breaking precedent, to show his commitment to her.

Their service was inclusive and modern, with people of colour leading celebrations.

She appears to have weathered all the intense scrutiny with grace and style.

But she didn't drive the car to her wedding reception. Meh!

noeffingidea · 20/05/2018 10:02

Loved her second dress. She looked classy and beautiful, but mist importantly they both looked very happy.

Frightening level of stupidity Shock

Whisky2014 · 20/05/2018 10:05

@mrsella the dress did not cost £595...do you have an iota of common sense? Sheesh

ikeepaforkinmypurse · 20/05/2018 10:06

Frightening level of stupidity
It's a common mistake on this forum, assuming that posters all have an average level of intelligence and trying to have intelligent report with them. You can't argue with stupid unfortunately.

dangerrabbit · 20/05/2018 10:08

She looked amazing in her dress in church. Sophisticated and chic. Loved the boat neckline.

Evening dress was also nice and a bit of a contrast from the day dress while still being simple and a long white dress.

In all both dresses were a good choice and I look forward to what styles she chooses for public engagements.

Flomper · 20/05/2018 10:12

I too find it amazing that there is some one out there that believes this. Everyone I know, without exception, had babies over 30. i literally know noone (apart from my mothers generation and one girl at university who got pg by mistake and had a miscarriage then tried again) that had babies in their twenties. Its quite astounding that these pei6ple are listening to the words coming out of the mouths of doctors and hearing "Its dangerous to have babies in your 30s".

Presumably thay actually said something like "the risk increases with age" or "it can be more difficult to conceive".

ikeepaforkinmypurse · 20/05/2018 10:17

it is dangerous to be a teen mum, and your fertility does start to decline in your 30s. Huge leap to pretend that's it's dangerous, and contraception being a fairly recent thing, it has never been unusual for women to have a last baby in their late 30s or even their 40s.

PortiaCastis · 20/05/2018 10:18

I was a teen Mum and nobody ever said it was dangerous

Puzzledandpissedoff · 20/05/2018 10:20

I could only really find Zara without proper sleeves

Among the royals yes, but Chloe Madeley had a dress which, although pretty, I thought a bit skimpy for the event

The wedding gown was far too plain for my taste, but what really surprised me was how the weight of the fabric made the skirt move ... when walking she reminded me of someone caught up in a blanket

Trooperslane2 · 20/05/2018 10:21

Jesus.

I can't believe all the spite and negativity. If you can't enjoy the fact that two people who clearly love each other got married - without bitching about her dress - what is WRONG with you?

I'm glad none of you were at my wedding to tear strips off my dress with glee.

I know they're very rich, I know they choose to put themselves in public but for fuck's sake.

C8H10N4O2 · 20/05/2018 10:22

It was a £525 wedding dress

Yes because one of the world's leading fashion houses provide their top designer, teams of embroiderers and all the fabrics for under a grand.

Amazingly, not every bit of random crap you read on the internet is true.

I preferred Meghans dress to Katherine’s. The dress fitted exactly as it was supposed to. She has the figure she doesn’t need it sitting skin right and she needs to be able to sit down. Skin tight does not always make people look better!

tradervictoria · 20/05/2018 10:29

The dress was a triumph and fitted her perfectly - that is what a couture dress looks like, folks.
