Meghan's dress was lovely but lumpy looking,/ill fitting bra look

Anyone else notice how lumpy it looked at front like when you wear a bra that's two small and you have two cleavages lt spoiled it for me tbh though l think she looked stunning. I thought it might just be the light as it is quite shimmery but have noticed it in several shots /light now. A wardrobe malfunction?

we’re so used to seeing bodycon and tight tight fitted dresses, it confuses us when we see a beautiful classic wedding dress like this.

Yorkshirebetty · 19/05/2018 20:19

The evening dress is beautiful as well. She's so elegant and calm. They both look so happy!!

hystericaluterus · 19/05/2018 20:32

She looked beautiful and, most importantly, comfortable. I thought it was very refreshing to see a royal bride not corseted within an inch of her life. I also like the fact that her hair was a slightly more formal version of her messy bun.

Queenofwands · 19/05/2018 20:51

I noticed the stray hairs .... I thought someone should have been watching for that.... left me on edge.
Also poor William looked so handsome in his hat, it’s such a shame he went bald so young.

TatianaLarina · 19/05/2018 20:52

I think she really needed a Maid of Honour like Kate. To fix her hair, to pull the train straight in the church etc.

Whisky2014 · 19/05/2018 20:52

Love her second dress!

OlennasWimple · 19/05/2018 20:55

I thought at first that there were stray hairs, but it was jsut the shadow from the creases in her veil

Yorkshirebetty · 19/05/2018 20:56

I can understand why she didn't want a maid of honour or adult bridesmaid... Just think about the fuss around Pippa Middleton Wink

OhTheRoses · 19/05/2018 21:15

Not so impressed with the second dress but it at least dispells the viperish comments about her arms.

EnriqueTheRingBearingLizard · 19/05/2018 21:19

I thought it was all just lovely. The wedding gown is probably much more amazing in real life, but even if it wasn't a wow gown, Meghan certainly made a wow bride and they looked so happy, so everything else pales in comparison to that.

MissEliza · 19/05/2018 21:56

I love the neckline. I had one like that in my engagement dress. I was annoyed about the hair for her sake IYSWIM. My daughter needs her hair in a bun for sports and she's got a lot of wispy stray bits. I'm able to cement it in place enough fir her to go over vaults etc and I'm not a professional hairdresser. Why couldn't MM's?

Amber0685 · 19/05/2018 21:59

I thought it looked quite similar to the one Princess Mary wore

MissEliza · 19/05/2018 22:04

I loved the tiara. Very elegant. I understand not having a necklace with that neckline but I might have gone for some long earrings.

LynetteScavo · 19/05/2018 22:05

Similar? Not really...both dresses were long, white (like many wedding dresses!) with a similar neck line...that's where the similarities end IMO.

SomethingOnce · 19/05/2018 22:10

A simple, elegant dress which didn’t compete with the natural beauty of the woman wearing it. What’s not to like?

Loved the low-key makeup too.

(I’m not a S&B person and I don’t agree in principle with monarchy but, y’know, credit where credit’s due.)

LizzieSiddal · 19/05/2018 22:16

Megan is a beautiful, graceful woman and her dress suited her perfectly.

LadyB49 · 19/05/2018 22:22

I reckon reckon that if anyone thought they saw nipples..... It was a trick of the light.. No way is a royal wedding dress going to have such a faux pas. It will have been scrutinised in advance time and time again for anything not perfect.

Yes, I thought it was perfect.

Ravenesque · 19/05/2018 23:19

I'd be interested to hear what people who disliked the dress would have preferred to see her in. Not being sarcy, just from a background of fashion history and finding wedding dresses quite interesting I'd love to see some. Smile

MissEliza · 20/05/2018 00:23

I just read on Twitter it cost £200 000. Surely not Shock.

TheCraicDealer · 20/05/2018 00:56

I think the top was great but the bottom was just blah. For 200k and the scale of the venue I would've expected to see something more interesting than a simple a-line skirt. It looks like she told them what she wanted and they went "ok, we'll make that". There wasn't any "design" influence to be seen and it's a wonder where 200k came from. And the veil didn't match the gown- it was lovely, but the romantic embroidered detailing just didn't go with the almost architectural and structural look of the dress.

Lady Charlotte Wellesley had a dress with a similar look- it had a fantastic back detail and skirt. Now that was a dress, although you can only imagine she was melting!

DoS's hair and makeup was lovely. She looked like herself and I think that's great. And as for nip-show the material looked so thick I doubt there was any real possibility of that, bra or no bra

Winterdown · 20/05/2018 01:09

thought it looked like she had lost weight at the last minute. Also bra too small.

Morsecode · 20/05/2018 01:15

The dress was sublime and not ill-fitting at all. I think people have been too used to seeing nasty body-con sprayed on bodices to recognise the beauty of this piece of couture.

mathanxiety · 20/05/2018 01:20

I thought it was extremely elegant and fit very well, highlighting the beautiful embroidered veil. Also loved the fact that the tiara didn't have to fight it out with any other bling.

mathanxiety · 20/05/2018 01:21

Agree, Morsecode. It wasn't 'Say Yes to the Dress'.
