ThrillitDontkillit · 12/05/2018 11:42

Oh and 'yummy'. I hate that word!!!!!

DontDrinkDontSmoke · 12/05/2018 11:42

Soups

In my mind the plural of soup is soup.

There’s a cafe near me called Soupz. I have to let ok away when I pass Grin

DontDrinkDontSmoke · 12/05/2018 11:43

Let ok = look

TheWizardofWas · 12/05/2018 11:43

Uni
Panties
Passed
Fanny
Lickle

CosyLulu · 12/05/2018 11:45

Hubby

Other half or (worse) better half
Uni (it's UNIVERSITY!)
Lush

Scrummy
Toastie
Front bottom (it's just gross)
Bits (for genitals - are they broken into pieces?)
Yourself or myself (as in, "will it be yourself attending?" / "You will be meeting myself and colleagues" WHY?)
Tis (AGH!!!)
And I can't explain this but when people sign emails or letters "many thanks." I just can't bear it.

I think I might be a female Victor Meldrew ...

Lilacwine1 · 12/05/2018 11:45

Cool ( as in asking a question, such as, what is your job, and when they hear the answer say, "Cool" Bradley Walsh does it all the time on The Chase.
Cliterous
Scran (meaning food)
Cops (instead of police) newspapers use it all the time.

CosyLulu · 12/05/2018 11:46

wizardofwoz

Or even worse 'ickle.

InsomniacAnonymous · 12/05/2018 11:46

Loads that have already been mentioned (esp. 'belly' and 'poorly') but also 'supper'. I just can't stand the sound of the word. It really makes me shudder.

MarthasGinYard · 12/05/2018 11:48

Batshit Confused

MarthasGinYard · 12/05/2018 11:49

InsomniacAnonymous · 12/05/2018 11:49

Oooh, I forgot calling babies, children or dogs 'little man'. That is horrible.

FrangipaniBlue · 12/05/2018 11:50

Oh god @Peterrabbitscarrots don't come too far up North then, we're I live cuppa and sarnies are standard, nobody says cup of tea or sandwiches Confused

I hate anything that is a "sound" rather than an actual word, so things like nom nom make me growl..... Angry

Words used incorrectly, pacifically being top of that list.

WTAF is famalam? I know someone who uses it all.the.time. Fuck off.

Anything regularly used by MLM bots....
Hun
Mamma (bear etc)
Boss Mom
Momtrepreneur

Also don't like totes or amazeballs although the latter seems to have fallen out of fashion lately (thank god!)

I should probably just stay away from human beings.......

rebelrosie12 · 12/05/2018 11:55

Nom. Or any variation of it. I have a fb friend who regularly posts stuff like 'can't wait to get home to noms'. Makes me ragey.

CosyLulu · 12/05/2018 11:56

InsomniacAnonymous I call dd 'little man' to piss her off. She's 15 and has short hair.

GrumpyOlderBloke · 12/05/2018 11:56

I have never encountered many of these. Do they exist only on ‘Social Media’ or as text-speak, or is it an age, gender, geography matter?

Most of my dislikes have already been mentioned, high on my list being:
Hubby
Uni
Yourself or myself
Cops

But the very top of the list is

KIDS

I don’t keep goats but I do have children, sons to be precise.

CosyLulu · 12/05/2018 11:57

Anyone else hate "many thanks" though? Is that just me?

FrangipaniBlue · 12/05/2018 11:57

Also cannot cope with text speak, again I know someone who does it all the time and sometimes I have to the-read her texts twice to fathom wtf she's trying to say Confused

CosyLulu · 12/05/2018 11:57

Oh and calling a baby 'squidgy' it's just nauseating!!!

raviolidreaming · 12/05/2018 12:01

Kind, as in 'that's kind'. For some reason it always passive aggressive, disingenuous, or just bland and dismissive.
