I'm going to sound horrible but I hate the term "crossing over rainbow bridge" when a pet dies. I adore animals but think it's such a twee pathetic term.

Are most of our pet hates to do with grown adults talking like babies maybe??!

Never heard that phrase used once in my entire life.

Neversayever I'm in the UK but suspect it's another Americanism Brits have taken on. It's rife on Facebook, as is so much childishness! As I say I have so much sympathy for the loss of a pet, they become like family but why does everyone need to speak like someone from the Waltons these days?

This one for me too. Especially when it’s in an email: ‘I just wanted to reach out to you’ always makes me mentally reply ‘I wanted to tell you to fuck off.’

The word ‘just’ annoys me too. I just wanted to let you know. I just thought. I just talked to. I was just wondering. Completely unnecessary apologetic word.

Improper use of the word 'agony'.

For example: "My shoes rubbed, and I have a blister and it is AGONY!" or "I pulled my back, I am in AGONY" then continues to play tennis/Twister/limbo dance.

No! It hurts, maybe a fair bit! But it is not AGONY! Argh!
