Is it too late to cut my grass at 7.30pm tonight? I do have kids in my neighbourhood.

How long will it take you?

Candlelight123 · 10/05/2018 19:07

I think that's fine - as long as it's not still going on at 9pm!

maskingtape · 10/05/2018 19:07

15 minutes approx

omg course its ok

MilkTwoSugarsThanks · 10/05/2018 19:08

Should be fine then.

FuzzyCustard · 10/05/2018 19:08

Absolutely fine. I wouldn't have any problem with that.

wellBeehivedWoman · 10/05/2018 19:09

Totally fine!

vickyb83 · 10/05/2018 19:15

Do it- 15 min is naff all and I think up to 8pm reasonable.

MeanTangerine · 10/05/2018 19:17

The kids round mine are all out screaming in their own gardens, so I would too. Mow the lawn, I mean. Not screaming. I'm not at the Sistine Chapel.

RosaRosaRose · 10/05/2018 19:18

I always find the whirrr of a grass cutter soothing Grin
Not so much three hours of the neighbours jet wash last weekend. Necessary but harsh on the nerves. Smile

SilverySurfer · 10/05/2018 19:19

Absolutely fine.

Nikephorus · 10/05/2018 19:19

Do you have a really loud ride-on mower? Acres to cut? A newborn next door who sleeps at that time? Grin

Glumglowworm · 10/05/2018 19:20

I’m just glad this wasn’t someone moaning about their neighbours cutting the grass! I was pre-emptively irritated!

7.30pm is a totally reasonable time to cut the grass!

GrannyGrissle · 10/05/2018 19:21

7:30 on a week night is far better than during the only reasonably warm couple of hours on the weekend

Pfftlife · 10/05/2018 19:21

I would cut it

MeanTangerine Sistine chapel Grin

Sparklesocks · 10/05/2018 19:22

Do it ☺️

ForalltheSaints · 10/05/2018 19:37

OK and better than doing it on a Sunday morning.

IHaveBrilloHair · 10/05/2018 19:38

Fine, I'd say up to 9 is fine.

triangulum · 10/05/2018 19:38

My son goes to bed at 7:00.

Often there are still kids playing out when he goes to bed, or other people in their gardens etc. I wouldn't mind my neighbor mowing the lawn at 7:30 if it was a fairly small lawn. 15 mins would be totally fine.

LorelaiVictoriaGilmore · 10/05/2018 19:40

Dh was whinging about our neighbour cutting his lawn at 6pm on Sunday. But I told him that he was BU. Grin

mummyhaschangedhername · 10/05/2018 19:41

Yep, totally fine.

sonjadog · 10/05/2018 19:42

Yes, no problem.

POPholditdown · 10/05/2018 19:42

MeanTangerine that will never get old 😂

liquidrevolution · 10/05/2018 19:44

DH doing ours at this minute. DD in bed and hopefully going to sleep. I dont think it disturbs her much even though her windws are open and she overlooks the garden.

DH is a farmer so limited time for doing these things. I did tell him off for 7am on a Sunday once though Hmm Grin

It sounded like someone was cutting their grass near our house at 9.30pm last night, had started raining and was getting dark, so I wouldn't think 2 hours earlier would be a problem! (Unlike the 9.30pm grass cutter, wonder if they'd strapped torches onto their mower)

But seriously, I can't see a problem with a 7.30pm lawn mowing unless there is so much grass you take 3 hours.
