I was scanning old property advertisements at work and there was a flat above a dog groomers called Doggy Style. Probably not around now seeing as the paperwork was from 2005.

I remember seeing a van in Norwich once with G W Bush & sons, wholesale butchers. Swear i was not hallucinating!!

Norwich was in those days also home to the Creamy & Crusty bakery, and Bob Basted Second Hand Cars. Really hope they are still going!!

Not a pub or a shop - but there’s a local business near me who do scaffolding, and the slogan on their vans say: “we give only the best erections” Grin

TomRavenscroft · 09/05/2018 12:27

Love this thread! Still working my way through, but wanted to add

Second-hand white goods place: Sellfridges (vampire, this one was in north London – maybe they branched out/moved; lovelymug, maybe we're talking about the same one?).

On holiday, a Thai restaurant called Thai Me Up. Grin

TomRavenscroft · 09/05/2018 12:39

Oh, and on here recently someone said there was a gift-type shop in Penge called Penge Tout (you say it so it's like 'Mange Tout' – there's a local joke pronunciation for Penge because it's becoming posher) Grin

TomRavenscroft · 09/05/2018 12:41

dietcoke, 'Klaize' is so funny Grin

TomRavenscroft · 09/05/2018 12:51

tradervictoria · 09/05/2018 12:51

The Chipping Forecast

FrankieBee · 09/05/2018 12:57

Not funny as such but there are four pubs called “The Little Black Boy” within 10 miles of me.

Always wondered what that was about

Bride and Prejudice - wedding dress shop

There is (or was) a Sunburnt Arms in Los Cristianos, Tenerife, as well as the one mentioned by a PP.

There's a Dandy Cock pub in Disley as well - pure filth round there, I'm telling you Grin

Oh, and near me I see a van with "Dave's Rubbish Removals" on the side. I've not been able to work out whether he actually removes rubbish, or whether he's the last bloke you should ring if you're moving house....

MyBreadIsEggy · 09/05/2018 15:19

the stool bus

This has me absolutely howling Grin

Paie · 09/05/2018 16:29

Anus Kitchen.

I shit you not.

Poor guy with an unfortunate name and no punctuation.

TroysMammy · 09/05/2018 17:22

Smeaton I remember the old sign outside The Black Boy in Killay but I think it's now been changed to a boy down the mines. I don't pay much attention to it when I drive past as I'm concentrating on avoiding the pot holes Grin.
