Every post regarding Abbot you bring up Hammond, so your not really coming from an objective viewpoint. As has been pointed out to you several times, this was Abbots flagship policy and she had her notes in front of her, she messed up the figures but they still didn't add up once everyone gave it her some leeway.

I’ve long believed that going into politics is like owning a gun; if you want to do it, you probably shouldn’t be allowed to.

Almost all of today’s MPs are a couple of notches less good than thirty years ago. They’ve less real education, they have travelled less, they speak fewer languages, fewer of them have lived abroad, fewer of them have done any job outside politics.

It’s really depressing. Most of these people would never get any proper senior job in either the public or the private sector - and yet we expect them to run the country !!

That said, Diane Abbott is one especially poor example and actually worse than the others. It’s that patronising voice as though we were all idiots.

It's amazing how high quality the old Blairite MPs like Yvette seem in comparison to Corbynites. Since everyone with any morals or brains deserted Labour's front bench, it really is the dregs facing the dregs now in the House of Commons.
