Royal Baby name making me rage

Firstly, I know that I am ridiculous and unreasonable and totally over invested but it is GIVING ME THE ABSOLUTE RAGE that the Royals haven't released the name of the baby yet. I'm sure they are doing it deliberately just to exercise the tiny scraping of power they actually have over us. They are doing evil laughs behind the curtains of Buck House and saying "let the commoners wait..."

HRH Prince Kevin of Cambridge. Grin

SevenStones · 25/04/2018 22:17

I think he'll be called James

Wee Jimmy Windsor Grin

StripStripHooray · 25/04/2018 22:17

But wouldn't Charlotte be the link to Charles, so surely they wouldn't have a Charlotte and a Charles. I think Edward Phillip Henry. There's usually three names isn't there?

SevenStones · 25/04/2018 22:18

**

It made me think of Hugh F-W from the other thread and his extra curricular activities...

winterwonderly · 25/04/2018 22:18

I thought it would be James, but there's already a couple of James's on the Middleton's side, so I don't think they'll go with that. I'm thinking Edward.

gonefishing92 · 25/04/2018 22:18

@ChickenVindaloo2 I am!!! I laughed so hard I woke up my DS 😂😂😂😂

Nibble on the placenta 😂😂😂

SevenStones · 25/04/2018 22:19

I don't think they'll have anything starting with a Ch- as it's too like Charlotte's name. Sso that's Christian out, sadly.

Ameliablue · 25/04/2018 22:19

I'm just glad it's a boy so they can't steal my baby's name. Although they better not use the boy version of it.

Mrsmadevans · 25/04/2018 22:20

I would love Edward and call him Ted or Teddy Grin

caringcarer · 25/04/2018 22:20

Maybe they used all of their favourite boys names for George's many names.

Battleax · 25/04/2018 22:21

I wouldn’t be surprised if they’ve taken psychological advice on how to live in the media lens and been told to carve out pieces of privacy in this way.

I’m not sure why anyone else would care too desperately about the name of a child they’ll never meet anyway.

Maybe they used all of their favourite boys names for George's many names.

They should just use those ones again but in a different order Grin

ChickenVindaloo2 · 25/04/2018 22:23

Thanks Stones and Fishing!

Was starting to think I'd lost my knack of making vile jokes!

If I nibbled on the royal placenta, do you think I'd suddenly develop a penchant for nude coloured heels and tan tights? And an ability to look amazing in a dresscoat and hat combo?!

LastGirlOnTheLeft · 25/04/2018 22:23

Norbert....Kate (she name changes a lot!) likes Bruno, Jude, Rex or Jordan*

Kate had a baby, not a new puppy!!!! Those are doggie names, aren't they??

bouncydog · 25/04/2018 22:24

I thought tradition was to wait 5 days? Richard ( the lion heart) or Albert (after queen mums dad)?

ChickenVindaloo2 · 25/04/2018 22:24

I used up all my best names on pets: Heather, Yasmin, Lucy, Leo, William, Anna, Suzie, Sophie..

So if I ever had human children, they'd end up called: Fluffy, Tigger, Fido etc.

ChickenVindaloo2 · 25/04/2018 22:25

Colour - lol, I never even noticed the pun! Yay me!

Hygge · 25/04/2018 22:25

I read something about them not repeating names of living relatives. They said the top 19 people in the Royal Family haven't repeated first names because of this.

Charles is too similar to Charlotte. Edward already has a James. The Of Kent's have written Michael off because would you name a baby after them? Harry is really Henry.

I'm growing fonder of Frederick, they could have Alexander as they don't seem to mind sharing middle names, and if they look to other European Royals they have names such as Vincent, Christian, Joseph (actually Josephine but I liked it) to take inspiration from.

MollyHuaCha · 25/04/2018 22:26

Maybe Kate is trawling MN right now to gauge the reaction to Arthur/Albert/Jaxon before making the final decision?

Or maybe they chose a name, ran it by the queen and she said no?

ThatchersCold · 25/04/2018 22:27

I reckon they want to call him Ashton and are having a tiff with the queen about it, hence the wait.

SabineUndine · 25/04/2018 22:27

Richard.

SunwheretheFareyou · 25/04/2018 22:27

Agree op and I feel ridiculous.
Ridiculous.

But I can't bear the thought of Arthur.
It must be Edward or Alexander. Certainly not Philip
