Royal Baby name making me rage

ItWillAllBeFine · 25/04/2018 21:46

Firstly, I know that I am ridiculous and unreasonable and totally over invested but it is GIVING ME THE ABSOLUTE RAGE that the Royals haven't released the name of the baby yet. I'm sure they are doing it deliberately just to exercise the tiny scraping of power they actually have over us. They are doing evil laughs behind the curtains of Buck House and saying "let the commoners wait..."

Maybe William reminds Charles too much of Diana and thats why they dont get on as well ( if its all true of course)
Charles always came across as a spoilt one and had a very cold unloving relationship with his own Mother and hated boarding school in Scotland ( apparently) he did say he didnt enjoy it in interviews.

that picture of him shaking his mums hand on the Royal yacht when he hadnt seen her for months spoke volumes ( he was only little ) Diana was always shown cuddling and being very tactile with her boys.
They are all probably very entitled and stuck up in real life but have to put on a act for a lot of things as its what is expected of them and what they are paid to do, like it or not. They have a choice not to lead this life, but the advantages must outweigh the things that they would rather not be doing.
I have heard that photographer Arthur Edwards being interviewed and they all seemed to like him a lot - Diana used to look out for him too I think and he always got some lovely pictures of them all.
Love or loath them, they are all hear to stay for a long time yet though and most of the rumours are speculation.

The betting's closed so will be any time soon

Sunafterstorm · 27/04/2018 09:40

*The 80s ' that's it then, the new baby will be Arthur Edward.😉

The80sweregreat · 27/04/2018 09:41

possibly - lol!!

Dulra · 27/04/2018 09:44

Totally agree op. Especially when they know people are betting on it and bookies making big bucks off it. Makes the whole reveal thing really distasteful tbh. There can't be that many royal names to choose from so birth and name should have been announced together imo

Thebirthdayparty · 27/04/2018 09:49

Agree with whoever said the gender and name will have been known and decided long ahead of the birth.

Hopefully all the media craze about the baby name means Meghan can go about her wedding preparations without being nitpicked to pieces. If my sympathy is with anyone, it is with her. I think it will be a while before she fully realises the horror she has married into.

GilligansKitchenIsland · 27/04/2018 09:55

I skipped a couple pages in the middle of the thread so apologies if this has already been mentioned but apparently the royal website has reserved a page under the name Albert: www.itv.com/news/2018-04-27/has-the-royal-familys-it-department-given-the-royal-baby-name-away/
Though they could just be messing with us?!

The80sweregreat · 27/04/2018 09:55

birthday, I already think that Meghan looks gaunt and nervy - compare the pics of her this week from last November when they became engaged. - i know weddings are very stressful and all the rest, but she does get a lot of help as well with it all and a lot must already be done by now.

bluebell34567 · 27/04/2018 09:59

I don't think the name will be Edward, its the uncle's name who people say is gay.

GilligansKitchenIsland · 27/04/2018 10:01

Sorry, just flicked back - I see the IT issue has already been thoroughly discussed 😳 As you were!

So “spoilt” but being emotionally neglected?

Battleax · 27/04/2018 10:04

BY being...^

I save my ...oh for fucks sake's for more important things.

Natsku · 27/04/2018 10:20

How can you not name a human being for 2 months! I already don't get people who don't have a name at the birth, but when you do know, why the need for secrecy?

I predict a new trend of people holding big "reveal parties" to announce the name of their offsprings, with the Middleton creating a new party range and gift lists just for that. Baby showers are so yesterday, we need more money-grabbing events

I didn't name my daughter for 10 weeks, and my son for 8 weeks and I had a "reveal party" for him (i.e. a naming party) but it's completely normal in Finland, people don't name their babies until the christening and just call them by a nickname until then. I expect most pick out the names before the christening of course but they don't tell them to anyone beforehand.

ralfeesmum · 27/04/2018 10:55

Maybe there's an awful lot of in-fighting going on behind the dainty net curtains of Buck House and Kensington Palace? Imagine the Queen, Charles, Kate and Kate's mum squabbling over who get's the final say!

Maybe William is being mischievous and has said "I say granny - wotcher think about Wayne?"

Ha!Ha!Ha!

MrPottergaveDobbyaSock · 27/04/2018 11:02

LarkDescending · 27/04/2018 11:02

PerfectlyDone · 27/04/2018 11:03

hopelessbusiness · 27/04/2018 11:04

Louis Arthur Charles.

Not bad :)

mastershelp · 27/04/2018 11:05

Nice name but bit disappointed they recycled on of George's. I assume it is pronounced Louie rather than Lewis?

DonkeysDontRideBicycles · 27/04/2018 11:05

At last! Nice combination.

Janus · 27/04/2018 11:05

Louis but that’s George’s middle name, isn’t that just really odd??
