It's tipped to be the new prince's name. I know we're all supposed to love old men's names but Arthur is just too awful.

Come on Kate & Will - you know you want to call him Milo or Ryan. Just do it!

Ah ok I thought it was first born/heir that got it

eloisesparkle · 25/04/2018 15:28

Leo after the current prime minister - wtf

eloisesparkle · 25/04/2018 15:28

Oops - Irish prime minister

Sunnymeg · 25/04/2018 15:33

I seem to be the only one who thinks that Leopold is in with a shout. Leopold to be known as Prince Leo of Cambridge.

lalalalyra · 25/04/2018 15:35

It is, it can only be given to the heir apparent. It's just up to the monarch when to give it.

The Queen gave Charles the title in 1958, some years after she became Queen, and he wasn't invested until 68/69 so it's all at the whim of the parent.

ChazsBrilliantAttitude · 25/04/2018 15:51

Lidl to show the monarchy is in touch with common folk

Prince Lidl of Cambridge styled as Viscount Aldi

LarkDescending · 25/04/2018 15:56

I reckon if George gets an extra chocolate biscuit after school he might be persuaded to share one of his middle names with his brother, so I am going for

Alexander Philip Michael

SunwheretheFareyou · 25/04/2018 15:59

I LIKE LEO, Not leopold so much but far far better than Arthur or albert.

Alexander is lovely and suits George. Just got a shock because of the Arthur thread.

( prince)

HeartCurrent · 25/04/2018 16:25

I still want Henry, if not Alexander.
I know Harry's Henry but who's to say Harry wouldn't want to name one of his children after William 🤷🏼‍♀️ Hmm

SunwheretheFareyou · 25/04/2018 16:42

I guess names are incestual then as well as the royals they cant break free and choose something new Grin

The80sweregreat · 25/04/2018 16:48

I saw online that Prince William said the new baby's name will be a strong one!

MrsJayy · 25/04/2018 16:50

Ooh strong I am now going for Hercules Grin

Tawdrylocalbrouhaha · 25/04/2018 16:53

I knew it, it's Brian! Brian means strong.

Or Bernard "Strong as a bear" Cambridge.

x2boys · 25/04/2018 16:53

Why can't they have another prince Henry (Harry) if they want ?there's a family name in my family say "Dave "so my Great grandfather, Grandfather ,uncle and cousin were all "Dave" my great grandfather and Grandfather are long dead now, so the two "Daves " are known as Our "Dave" and Young "Dave" although young "Dave" must be nearly 50Hmm

Pebble21uk · 25/04/2018 17:01

The bookies have apparently had a late run of bets on Alexander.

Can't see it myself though... 'Yes Darling, I know we didn't like it enough to make it George's first name, only his second... but you're our third child... it's traditional not to be arsed.'

I vote for 'Charming'

FineSally · 25/04/2018 17:02

The80sweregreat

Deffo Arthur then.

Perhaps Kate & Wills are fans of Count Arthur Strong

SunwheretheFareyou · 25/04/2018 17:09

Oh someone mentioned Edward back thread.
I now strongly feel he will be Edward, Eddie.

Definatly an Edward. Yes. This is it Grin

willynillypie · 25/04/2018 17:09

Do you think that due to the ANZAC memorial today they will hold off on the announcement?

LapdanceShoeshine · 25/04/2018 17:10

Reason for the Alexander bets!
(Nothing on Jerry though? Grin)

To think please not Arthur
SunwheretheFareyou · 25/04/2018 17:12

Gerald - umm after Gerald Grovenser perhaps?

Alexander is perfect - Edward is perfect.

dayswithaY · 25/04/2018 17:20

I always wonder what causes a late surge in bets on a certain name, has one of the maids overheard a conversation or maybe Carole has been blabbing. I know someone who once went on a boozy night out with Carole and she is not as discreet as you might think!

dayswithaY · 25/04/2018 17:21

Also hate Arthur - I'd love them to go for something never used by the Royal family before - Robert, Marcus, Daniel, Hugh.

clarkl2 · 25/04/2018 17:27

Milo? Ryan? Both dreadful

SunwheretheFareyou · 25/04/2018 17:29

I know someone who once went on a boozy night out with Carole and she is not as discreet as you might think

She has never had to be and its her dc isnt it - with a bro like maison de bang bang! Grin

Def staff over hearing and putting bet on, quirk of job

SkaTastic · 25/04/2018 17:31

So much rudeness about the name Arthur! That's my littlest's name and we love it. I hope it is that so ner ner!!
