It's tipped to be the new prince's name. I know we're all supposed to love old men's names but Arthur is just too awful.

Come on Kate & Will - you know you want to call him Milo or Ryan. Just do it!

MrsDylanBlue · 25/04/2018 00:09

I like Ernst too - I am swayed but David Oakes Grin

SevenStones · 25/04/2018 00:15

Leo(pold) was Princess Charlotte's husband, and her father was George, so perhaps Leo is a possibility.

TabbyMack · 25/04/2018 00:17

Christopher would be nice.

SevenStones · 25/04/2018 00:21

There's Christopher in Philip's tree.

I now expect Philip's lineage to have every royal name possible!

ChazsBrilliantAttitude · 25/04/2018 00:22

Bilbo Gandalf Frodo Cambridge has a nice ring to it

(See what I did there...)

LoisWilkersonsLastNerve · 25/04/2018 00:31

Or maybe they could go the race horse route? Prince Dockers Choice. Or a Native American theme ? Prince Little Big Wind. Or something American. Prince Chad Scooter.

Carouselfish · 25/04/2018 00:32

I hope it's Alfred.
I put £2 on at 50/1.

Shadow666 · 25/04/2018 00:39

Fred and George is a little too Harry Potter, don’t you think?

SevenStones · 25/04/2018 00:57

Has anyone suggested Edgar yet?

Sophronia · 25/04/2018 00:58

They could name him William after his dad?

MidniteScribbler · 25/04/2018 01:00

I hope it's Alfred.
I put £2 on at 50/1.

Too political at the moment. I doubt it has a chance.

myshinynewusername · 25/04/2018 01:19

I was thinking that it would deffo be Thomas, but I think it may be out of the running because its Meghan's dad's name (and also the name of her brother who is not invited to the wedding - awkward!!).

Whitecurrants · 25/04/2018 01:37

Arthur Philip Michael I reckon

x2boys · 25/04/2018 01:44

Alexander Christian would be perfect for a new prince I think .....

TakemedowntoPotatoCity · 25/04/2018 03:46

What about Samue l? I think they will go for a nice traditional na me without necessarily being too 'royal'.

DaveswifeDawn · 25/04/2018 04:04

What about Seth?
Prince Seth.
And hope he doesn't lisp.

I know Oliver Cromwell obvs chopped the head of a king, but that King was Charles..... so why choose Charles then? A failed king who wasn’t popular with the people? (History repeating itself?)

RavenWings · 25/04/2018 07:36

Just as an alternative for those saying they hate old man names, my Arthur was inspired by ‘King Arthur’ and his Celtic connections. Just a thought for you there.

I don't see how that changes anything. It's still one of the trendy old man names, no matter where your personal inspiration came from.

Curtainshopping · 25/04/2018 09:26

I don’t think they’ll go for Frederick because there is one already (Lord Freddie Windsor) and he’s had a rather chequered past!

MrsJayy · 25/04/2018 09:30

Ooh yes I forgot about Freddie Windsor shame though as freddie is lovely. I wonder if they will announce it today or maybe Kate has a thread in Baby names and mulling it over Grin

SofieMonde · 25/04/2018 09:34

Prince Igor?

iBiscuit · 25/04/2018 09:35

Arthur's a lovely name. It's been popping up occasionally for a good twenty years too, so it's not exactly faddy.

willynillypie · 25/04/2018 11:39

When do we find out?

BlueSapp · 25/04/2018 11:47

His surname is Cambridge though not Windsor
