To think please not Arthur

It's tipped to be the new prince's name. I know we're all supposed to love old men's names but Arthur is just too awful.

Come on Kate & Will - you know you want to call him Milo or Ryan. Just do it!

I don't think I've seen GRAHAM come up yet...?

RebeccaWrongDaily · 24/04/2018 21:09

Freddie Windsor is Williams first cousin and a close friend (his daughter Maud is at nursery with George) i can't see them using Freddy. Or any of the extant names such as Phillip,James, Charles etc.

Cindie943811A · 24/04/2018 21:09

I think they are going to surprise everyone with something different. They didn’t know the sex so decided Victor for a boy and Victoria for a girl.
Or maybe when great grandpa was ill recently, decided on Philip. BTW he was supposed to have had a hip replacement but didn’t see him on crutches afterwards. Wondered if it was something more serious like cancer and he didn’t want it broadcast. He has had numerous UTIs

SelkieUnderLand · 24/04/2018 21:11

I'd laugh if it was Victor. I've been selling that name on the names board for YEARS. I love it. (don't like Victoria though)

MissEliza · 24/04/2018 21:12

Just being pedantic but Freddie Windsor is not William's first cousin. Freddie Windsor's father is the Queen's first cousin.

Just saw the Suggestion of Richard. That could work. Georgie Lottie and Richie. Aw!

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 24/04/2018 21:29

I doubt it will be Richard. It doesn't fit with George and Charlotte.

Undercoverbanana · 24/04/2018 21:37

GreatDuckCookery - I agree. My DP is Richard and I think it is a brilliant, traditional, solid sort of name. To me, Richards are self reliant, capable, athletic types with a weird sense of humour (and nice buttocks). However, the whole “dick” thing is problematic and in that sense it doesn’t “go” with George and Charlotte.

flumpybear · 24/04/2018 21:37

I’m going all out here and I’m gonna tell you all .... it’s Spencer .... for sure Wink

SevenStones · 24/04/2018 21:39

Albert goes well with George and Charlotte

UserV · 24/04/2018 21:40

I think of 'on the buses' too.

But my pal's little beautiful ginger boy (who is 4) is called Arthur, so the name has grown on me a bit.

But I am not a HUGE fan of the name.

To think please not Arthur
UserV · 24/04/2018 21:41

Not Richard! (DICK!) Shock

Pancakeflipper · 24/04/2018 21:47

Prince Derek.

HippityHoppityWho · 24/04/2018 21:55

Albert is in a lot of middle names of the royal family.

I think Henry would go well but it is of course Harry's actual name.

BakedBeans47 · 24/04/2018 21:56

The Queen’s third child was Andrew which is out there by Royal standards so maybe they’ll get away with something off the approved list. It’ll still be traditional though

Andrew was Philip's father's name.

ChazsBrilliantAttitude · 24/04/2018 22:05

Andrew was Prince Phillip’s father’s name.
