If you could go on holiday anywhere in the world where would it be?
For me i’d fly business class to Australia and New Zealand.
My OH said his would be The Maldives. My mum’s would be a spa break in Dorset as she doesn’t like going abroad

If you decide to travel to the Victoria Falls then please don't make the same mistake as I did in November 2016. Spent a fantastic ten days on the Island of Zanzibar. I then decided at the last minute I wanted to see Victoria Falls, so I got the ferry to Dar Es Salaam. I then spent two nights on the train (Tazara) to Kapiri Mposhi a distance of 1200 miles. I then endured a bus ride to Lusaka, followed by another 12 hour bus ride to Livingstone. I was exhausted I can tell you. When I finally got tro VF the bloody thing had dried up completely!!

I'd like to go to the Galapagos

And I'd like to own an alpine chalet (skiiing in winter and hiking in summer)

FiveGoMadInDorset · 22/04/2018 17:37

Easter Island, Pitcairn Island and Tahiti, my Dad died in Tahiti suddenly while on this trip so would like to do that

Foxyloxy1plus1 · 22/04/2018 17:37

A river cruise down the Mississippi followed by a trip down one side of America and up the other.

I've been looking to go to the exact same places as you. Is it paradise? What sort of accommodation are you staying in? Beach huts? mid-range or high end hotels? Is the sand as white as it shows in the pictures?

WatchoutDSisdriving · 22/04/2018 17:52

user1492877024 it never occurred to me that it would dry up 😲

Sadly the trip is only a dream currently. Much saving up will be required.

I would go back here www.anghelhotels.it/relaischiostrodipienza/en/

Bora Bora via Easter Island

backaftera2yearbreak · 22/04/2018 17:54

Costa Rica

SunsetOverEasterIsland · 22/04/2018 18:09

Machu Picchu - made it as far as Lima on a trip with work but couldn't go to MP due to weather 😢. Went to Easter Island on same trip, which was also a dream destination, and it didn't disappoint - the most fascinating place I have ever been too. I was in awe the whole time I was there🗿.

MouseholeCat · 22/04/2018 18:09

I'm torn between a cruise of the Antarctic or the Isles of Scilly.

The latter is sentimental, and a nightmare to get to as we live in the middle of America and barely get any vacation time, so I'm factoring in transport in a private plane.

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 22/04/2018 18:10

To my second home in the Loire Valley...

itsbetterthanabox · 22/04/2018 18:23

I won't because of other reasons but I'd love to go to Israel and see all the religious historical areas, float in the Dead Sea and go in the grottos at night. Eat loads of Jewish delicacies!
Business class and 5 star hotels naturally.

verite · 22/04/2018 18:37

Easy. Fly to Argentina, few nights in Buenas aires. Then on to Rio. Then iguasso falls and finally Brazilian beach resort (not decided which). Perhaps try and include Peru in that as well. Only need someone to look after the dcs ad well!

RoccoW14 · 22/04/2018 18:47

As we're heading into summer, it'd have to be somewhere in Europe for me. Italy and France, I think?

A week each in a suite at:

Hotel Cipriani (Venice)
www.belmond.com/hotels/europe/italy/venice/belmond-hotel-cipriani/

Hotel Splendido (Portofino)
www.belmond.com/hotels/europe/italy/portofino/belmond-hotel-splendido/

Grand Hotel du Cap Ferrat
fourseasons.com/capferrat/

Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc
www.oetkercollection.com/destinations/hotel-du-cap-eden-roc/

And as money's no object, I'd have a 300ft+ motor yacht ferry me between them all!!

VioletCharlotte · 22/04/2018 18:48

I'd book a yoga retreat in Thailand. That's my dream holiday. Or if I was taking the teens, I'd go to Canada.

Headfullofdreams · 22/04/2018 18:50

Costa Rica

user1483390742 · 22/04/2018 18:52

Iceland to see the Northern Lights.

Summerisdone · 22/04/2018 18:53

If I was thinking of what I want then I'd go to Paris for a few days, then off to Barcelona or Madrid for another few; a nice peaceful week by myself in beautiful cities sounds bliss right now.

Thinking of what holiday I'd do with DS though would be a fortnight in Orlando, all parks included. I remember going myself when I was 14 and found it to be the most amazing, exciting and magical experience ever at the time, so I can only imagine how magical and fun my 3 year old would find it all.

Barabajagal · 22/04/2018 18:55

First class to Japan. Already working on dh!

helacells · 22/04/2018 19:00

Private jet to Necker Island complete with chef.

DonutWorryBeHappy · 22/04/2018 19:15

Eggsandbacon why wouldn't you take kids to Japan?? It's awesome and very child friendly.

Fintress · 22/04/2018 21:35

Iceland to see the Northern Lights.

I've been 3 times, twice for 10 days over Christmas and New Year and yet to see them there. However I have seen them practically in my own backyard, I had no idea how often we get them where we live.
