Mumsnet is a force to be reckoned with and I’ve realised after reading a few threads today that I’ve bought a lot of things because of Mumsnet recommendations.

Before most bigger purchases or trying a new brand I search Mumsnet. I start threads about things I want to buy, I read recommendations, I dip in and out of different sub forums.

Baby/toddler toys (especially that dragonfly from mumsnet recommends...That's my standard new baby gift now)

My new slow cooker
Personal care products (eg that hair removing springy thing and Liz Earle cleanse & polish)
ASOS (I know that's a retailer; does it count?)

Films
I've been cooking with lamb loads more after that lamb promo
Cleaning/household products (like Fairy Non-Bio)
Medela breast pump
Lots of different feeding bottles (none worked) so then feeding cups instead
Loads of recipe ideas and gift ideas around Christmas
I have the babyliss big hair on my Amazon list right now... Is it worth it?
