To wonder where the hell he is?

Been seeing someone for a couple of months, at least twice a week but it’s been nearly every day over the past couple of weeks. He has been really into me, cooked for me, taken me away numerous times and said the l word very early on.

We had plans to go to his friends birthday tonight, spoke to him earlier and everything was fine. Text later to let him know what time I would be over, not read and no reply, we are now 2 and a half hours after we were supposed to meet and I haven’t heard from him since 3.30pm. No messages read, no answer to my calls. Getting a bit concerned, where could he be?!

Just laying - I do have o say I once had the same thing with two past bf, one was a genuine angel, the other was a controlling nightmare who used a lot of manipulative techniques to draw me in because he had a lot of issues (abandonment, jealousy)...it takes a good two years (imo) to really know if the initial amazing months are genuine or if it’s a mask for other stuff.

I know a woman who was seeing a man and arranged to go on holiday with him. The day they were due to leave, he ignored all her texts and calls and she never saw him again.

Mine was a long time ago, I was only 21 (it was 17 years not 15 thinking about it properly).

I’ve had two husbands and two kids since 😂

I was going out with a guy who seemed really keen. We usually went out on a weeknight, but it didn't really suit me because of work and kids. One week I said the only night I could meet up was Friday. He agreed, but I waited and waited for a call about where to meet, it never came. I phoned the next day and he claimed his cows had gotten out on the road and blah blah blah didn't have a chance to phone blah blah blah. My sister nastily said that Friday night is boozing with the boys night and I wasn't going to be allowed interfere with that. I tested the following Friday, and there was another emergency. I stopped being available after that. A month or so later a (male) friend came to stay, and we went to a local fete together. Arsehole rolled up and kept making remarks like 'so this is 'the boy' then?'. Initially I said politely that no, he was just a friend, but after a few more snarky remarks just kept saying "What's it to you?". Didn't want me, didn't want anyone else to have me Grin

I once dated a guy and we fell madly in love (or thought we did) He was really full on very quickly. It was a total loved-up whirlwind. For months he kept asking me to move in with him and eventually I did (which also required me giving up my job as it was beyond commuting distance) but I kept paying the rent on my own home (using all my meagre savings) an hour away, not because I didn't trust him, but because it was full of my stuff!! He kept saying I should let it go and I'd reply, "yeah I'll get round to it..."

A short time later, still getting on wonderfully, he told me the house we were living him (his) was finally being sold (to get his ex off the mortgage) and I should stay at mine and he'd move in with his mum until we could get our own place again.

Never heard from him again. Complete ghosting. I could have found myself homeless with just the clothes on my back if I had gone along with his wishes. I didn't have parents, friends or family to fall back on. I would have been penniless, jobless and homeless.

Im glad it happened. I now have a wonderful life with DH and 3 kids.
