To wonder if USA are behind Sailsbury attack?

Perhaps I've been watching too many spy dramas, but to me, Russian nerve agent being used to blatently target ex Russian spy screams of a set up from somewhere.

USA are embarassed by the increasing evidence that Russia was able to influence their democratic election.

Forcing their 'closest ally' to condemn Russia for an attack on British soil (and therefore condemn Russia) seems like a way to bring the world back to seeing America as top dog.

Why such an immediate jump to the obvious answer?

OP posts:

Oh ffs the rusbots have invades mn Hmm

Thanksforthatamazingpost · 14/04/2018 23:51

Op, the other possibility is that Putin did not authorise it and so the relevant bit of the Russian intelligence Service went ahead anyway to teach Putin a lesson.

Oviously if Putin just wanted the guy dead with no trace to Russia he would have had it done with a hammer/gun/faked suicide.

QueenDoris · 14/04/2018 23:53

@SometimesMaybe

Fucking hell. I really have heard it all now. The Uk/USA was responsible for the Salisbury attack? Out of all the bonkers shit that is available on the internet that really is peak crazy

You clearly have not read enough of the internet. This is only level 2 bonkers. I think the theory that The Queen is a lizard trumps it. Oh, and the one about the earth being flat. To get to level 1 we need more bonkersness, maybe a rumour about Putin having a gay affair with Trump

QueenDoris · 14/04/2018 23:55

how shit was this "military" grade nerve agent

Of course it was shit, it was Russian. Have you ever flown Aeroflot? Or driven a Lada? On the whole Russian stuff is like western stuff, but just a bit shitter

AgnesSkinner · 15/04/2018 00:03

Dermal absorption is less effective than inhalation, and if the intended victims were wearing gloves ...

YoloSwaggins · 15/04/2018 00:21

Have you ever flown Aeroflot?

Yep, long-haul to China, and I even got slippers and a film selection. Was absolutely fine. Not relevant.

"Military grade" and everyone is recovered? Yeah right.....more like a dodgy risotto at Zizzi.

@QueenDoris, wait what?

I'm not sure how using the cheapest airline on Skyscanner for a travelling trip to China makes one a troll? But ok Confused

QueenDoris · 15/04/2018 00:31

That’s as much evidence as I need. Which is about as much evidence that you have that it was a dodgy risotto at Zizzi.

Next you’ll be claiming that Putin is not in the closet.

YoloSwaggins · 15/04/2018 00:45

As much as I'd loooove to get paid for my political opinions (skeptical this actually happens, as there's some really big-name bloggers that constantly crowdfund and ask readers for money cause they can't get anyone to pay them a salary, and they post very anti-MSM stuff), I would be literally the most inefficient troll and would have been fired by now for spending a year posting only about fashion, baby names, weddings and lazy housewives with rich husbands...

Lweji · 15/04/2018 01:53

Missing sense of humour and how Russian paid trolls operate and the reasons for their existence.

thecatfromjapan · 15/04/2018 01:59

Putin died two years ago in a plane crash that was hushed up.

He's been played by an actor since then. The gymnast girlfriend's brother is now in charge - gymnast girlfriend having been a beard.

thecatfromjapan · 15/04/2018 02:05

By the way, for posters who don't already know this (and I'm sure there aren't many left who don't know this), on-line identities are valuable.

Professional trolls - who work for troll farms/companies - spend time building an identity. This can then be activated at various points, for various purposes, or sold on to a third party.

That is not directed at any poster in particular. It's just information-sharing.

bridgetoc · 15/04/2018 08:28

Dimbo.......

Coldwaragain · 15/04/2018 08:37

Hi OP, for what it's worth, hubby and I also think this sometimes. I don't think we'll ever really know anything about what actually goes on among the powerful.

GladAllOver · 15/04/2018 08:57

The Russians don't need to employ thousands of trolls. Just a few carefully calculated messages placed in Facebook and twitter, and gullible readers like and repeat across the web.
As we can see so clearly here.

Loandbeholdagain · 15/04/2018 09:09

Seriously people. We know Russia is using online forums and social media to influence people in things that are not true. Having this conversation here is like saying “here Moscow’s digital soldiers!”.

MrsTylerJoseph · 15/04/2018 09:13

Well I’ve been on MN for 17 years which I’m sure mnhq can vouch for. That’s a hell of a long time to be a Russian sleeper troll! Grin

Mydoghatesthebath · 15/04/2018 09:31

Don’t be a silly billy

Lweji · 15/04/2018 10:11

Yes. Acting like agents without even realising.
Use your critical spirit when reading FB conspiracy theories. Where do they come from? Who sent them to you? Do they actually make sense?
Try to follow news from reputable sources.

Like I said on my deleted post. Wink

PS- claig was an old timer with carefully placed posts elsewhere. But when pushed, it was clear there was something wrong. So, forgive my online cynicism.

Now Russia is claiming that any of the NATO countries, the UK/US being top of the list, has manufactured this nerve agent seeing as a lab in Switzerland has confirmed it contains BZ which is made here (or something) which Russia claims their country does not.
To be honest I much prefer QueenDoris explanation for everything in the world Grin
