Yes.

RebelRogue · 13/04/2018 23:09

Gravy in general is gross.

Coolaschmoola · 13/04/2018 23:11

Ikea isn't gravy it's a cream sauce. In store they use UHT cream and it's gopping, but buy the packet mix from Sweden Shop and make it with fresh cream and it is gorgeous!

elephantoverthehill · 13/04/2018 23:12

If it helps I never have gravy from anywhere except from people I know and love. This exemption includes school gravy, restaurant/pub gravy and bought meat pies.

bippityboppityboop · 13/04/2018 23:12

Oh my God that has just made the IKEA 'gravy' even worse Coolas.

KFC gravy almost reminds me of the chip shop gravy you get up north, I miss it in London so kfc is the only one that’s kind of close although not quite.

TenancyTroublesAgain · 13/04/2018 23:17

Yabu!

Spanglybangles · 13/04/2018 23:22

I love KFC gravy Blush
But I am a bit of a gravy fiend tbh. Can regularly be found knocking together a wee mug of bisto to go with my dinner.

Never tried Ikea gravy though, sounds not very nice from the description above though

Coloursthatweremyjoy · 13/04/2018 23:25

I don't care about the IKEA gravy OP (which incidently is gross). I care about the old style meatballs. I liked them and tried to recreate them, lots of beef and pork combinations. Ridiculous amounts of dill and seasoning. Not working. Then I find out they had horse meat in! Flipping horse! No wonder I couldn't make mine taste like theirs.

They aren't the same now. I don't generally condone eating horse you think is beef by the way.

Fruitcorner123 · 13/04/2018 23:26

KFc do gravy?

Poshjock · 13/04/2018 23:39

I love Graddsas, sorry. Blush

unicornandrainbows · 13/04/2018 23:39

Yabvu kfc gravy is the best bit of kfc!!!

RainbowDashian · 13/04/2018 23:45

I wouldn't go as far as gross but I have had better.
What makes an acceptable gravy OP?

condepetie · 13/04/2018 23:48

I don't like gravy in general.

I've never had the USA's white gravy and would give it a go, but it does look disgusting.

bippityboppityboop · 13/04/2018 23:49

Homemade or granules for me, I don’t like the flavour watered down taste. Feel a bit embarassed to admit it as a Yorkshire lass but I’m not mad keen on gravy on chips!

White gravy? Oh no, make it stop! 🤢

@colours i bet you can order frozen horse from France. Absolutely would if i could afford it!

DamnWhyAreAllTheUsernamesTaken · 13/04/2018 23:51

KFC gravy though 😍 work of the gods, never had Ikea gravy so unable to comment..

condepetie · 13/04/2018 23:51

@OP the white gravy is ground pork, flour and milk, as far as I know. Like a piggy bechamel, I guess?

condepetie · 13/04/2018 23:53

www.unclejerryskitchen.com/recipes/southern-white-gravy-just-like-moms/

This is it. Honestly it's a meaty bechamel and I'll take that over brown meat slurry or gravy granules any day.

Weird that they put it on scones though.

Herja · 13/04/2018 23:53

I really need chips and gravy now...

PurpleSea · 14/04/2018 00:27

YABU! KFC gravy is lovely!

CadyHeron · 14/04/2018 02:14

As a Northerner, gravy to me is the stuff that comes with your Sunday dinner and over your Yorkie puddings.
Brown.
This biscuit and gravy I keep seeing on Pinterest. It's not a biscuit, and it's not gravy! Grin
scone and white sauce is what it is is what it is

bluetongue · 14/04/2018 02:29

Love the IKEA gravy but I’m in Australia and wonder if they make it differently here.

CadyHeron · 14/04/2018 02:35

What's Australian gravy? (genuine question!)
IKEA gravy seems to not be gravy too. (Quick google.)
Gravy is the brown, meaty stuff!
Others alllook to be cream sauce efforts.
