To find floral tributes being left for Harry Vincent offensive

This is an attempt to intimidate the innocent family. Flowers should be removed - isn’t it littering?

oooo whas my grammar amiss? i passed with flying colours

Whisky2014 · 10/04/2018 20:51

so why dont you enlighten yourself a little eh

On what? So you are a mother and you've done menial jobs all your life. Amazing.

plominoagain · 10/04/2018 20:51

Vic , don’t sweat it mate . You know as well as I do how low people sink to try and get a bite .

And I’ll see your lemon drizzle and raise you a Krispy Kreme Wink

Springnowplease · 10/04/2018 20:52

Well, isn't Whisky a little ray of sunshine? Her input into this thread as been invaluable.

MagneticMan · 10/04/2018 20:52

vicar you need to drop it too, this is like a reflection of the situation going on in that road - pointless provocation. Let the thread get back on track instead of petty bickering.

SaltireSaltire · 10/04/2018 20:53

.......is there a bit of a theme on mumsnet of late? Random accusations of ‘racist’ at anybody to dares criticise the behaviour of members of certain groups.
Seems an attempt to get threads shut down. It’s has happened in the thread about the killing of a Journalist by the Israeli army, and now it is happening here.

Honestly I have no idea how this thread has turned so nasty?

Surely to God you would expect mumsnetters to have empathy and sympathy for this elderly couple and not for the burglar.

Not to blame the police or the elderly victim but the perpetrators?

Surely people can see that these tributes are at best in bad taste and at worse very intimidating and frightening for the people living in the street.

Please tell me the world doesn’t think Eledon snd Real are typical of public opinion. If so God help us all

stillvicarinatutu · 10/04/2018 20:53

thanks plom
and others

i think my grammar and spelling is usually ok!

Janicejanet · 10/04/2018 20:54

Saltire - yes I agree with you. Time to end the cellophane tributes.

This particular episode of horribleness - creating a shrine in a provocative and intimidating manner to a criminal who preyed on the elderly and vulnerable is no real surprise. The funeral for this revolting human being will undoubtedly be similar.

Numbkinnuts · 10/04/2018 20:54

Whisky step away from the keyboard.

You really are talking bollocks now

Mydoghatesthebath · 10/04/2018 20:54

Saltire

Yes agree totally

Whisky2014 · 10/04/2018 20:55

Nobody blamed the police did they? They just wanted them to intervene

MagneticMan · 10/04/2018 20:55

@Miffy "I have images of a bloke parping away and annoying people on his brass instrument now!"

Made me think of this:

miffytherabbit1974 · 10/04/2018 20:56

I wasn't being nasty. I'm genuinely and honestly surprised that people that seemingly lack the skills I mentioned (spelling, comprehension and grammar) can be employed by the emergency services. I just asked my partner, who was in communications in the Army for nine years and he said he found it surprising too. I was surprised and that it is all.

stillvicarinatutu · 10/04/2018 20:57

for the record,
police will be doing what and all they can
they will be very aware that this is a point of conflict

they will operate within the law

obvs.

and im out! x

JamesBlonde1 · 10/04/2018 20:57

Crikey, there’s been some major derailing since I last read this thread.

I’m pleased locals have been tearing down these ridiculous flowers. The family of this burglar are beyond thick.

I hope the locals keep tearing them down. Even if the locals don’t, someone else sufficiently passionate will do so. I’m glad. That scally’s life should not be emblazoned via flowers for that whole poor street to see.

tierraJ · 10/04/2018 20:58

If anyone writes badly (especially on prescriptions) it's doctors most of all!!

Back to the actual thread subject; are the flowers up again or down still?

miffytherabbit1974 · 10/04/2018 20:59

@MagneticMan -

That clip is brilliant! Thanks for sharing :)

GorgeousJaws · 10/04/2018 20:59

I can't see what still is failing to comprehend.

LoveManyTrustfew · 10/04/2018 21:00

Chavtastic....

Fluffypinkpyjamas · 10/04/2018 21:01

Some posters are really showing their true, nasty colours in this thread.

A scum bag is dead. An frail elderly man and his sick wife are being threatened with death when NONE of this was their own doing. They did NOTHING wrong.

They were in THEIR home, he broke into their home. How exactly would any of you bleeding heart morons would cope with that? What would YOU do?! What would be your reaction to some nasty scum bag entering your house the way he did AND it wasn’t the first time.

I’d rather that bastard dead than the man whose life he has ruined.

As for the family of the dead man. Of course they have no shame. Birds of a feather.

The flowers are up and the police patrols have gone up. Which might well give the locals the distinct impression that the police are more concerned with protecting the travellers flowers than they are their right to live peacefully in their homes without harassment or intimidation.

Numbkinnuts · 10/04/2018 21:12

There is I suppose the possibility because of the coverage received today of more people coming to the scene and removing the flowers.

It wouldn't surprise me if there ends up in a physical altercation between the family and others.
