To be devastated at the demise of the Labour Party, and to wonder how anyone can look at themselves in the mirror if they vote for Corbyn now?

Just that really.

Been a Labour supporter all my life, til the last election. Because hell will freeze over before I will vote for Jeremy Corbyn.

I am literally devastated at the demise of the Labour party, that has been systematically destroyed from the inside out, by Corbyn and his cronies, and by Corbyn's pathetic behaviour. From his denial of bad behaviour from his party, to the way he shuts down anyone who challenges him. (Including reporters, and his own people ..... if they don't agree with everything he says, he sacks them.)

In the last election, for the first time ever in my life, I was unable to vote, because I am not voting for Conservatives. (Even so, if I HAD to vote by law, I would vote for Conservatives before I would vote for Labour.)

The Labour party is dying a slow and painful death, and is a laughing stock. First of all we have the standing joke that is Corbyn, with his bizarre 'extreme-left' bollocks, and refusing to answer any questions that don't suit him, .......'Mr Corbyn what about the antisemitism in in your party?' 'YES it is a nice day isn't it? Thank you, goodbye!' Fucking twit! Hmm

And then we have his ludicrous and laughable cronies... Diane 'can't count for toffee' Abbott, Monroe 'bigoted ranty' Bergdorf, and now Eddie fucking Izzard in a dress. Hmm

Even people I know who were obsessive Corbynites a year or so ago, are cringing with embarrassment now, as he turns the party into more of a laughing stock every day. And as I said in the thread title, how can anyone POSSIBLY support him and the Labour party now?

That's it really. I am literally so gutted at the demise of my party.

Until Corbyn fucks off and takes his cronies with him, Labour is dead to me. And I know a LOT of people who think the same!

R.I.P. The Labour Party. 😢😢😢

Snowagain - None of the Corbyn supporters are having a go at @Tweetie1000 for saying anything though.

I did, just before you posted that.

crunchymint · 02/04/2018 10:35

theduchessstill I thought he would lose Labour votes, but he did increase the number of votes. Of course any party to actually get elected needs to win the middle ground.

Scabetty · 02/04/2018 10:36

Labour supporter all my life as is my family. My labour MP has been around here for yonks but I can’t support JC over the ‘trans’ stance and anti-semitic issues. Hate the tories btw.

zippey · 02/04/2018 10:36

If you live in Scotland you can vote SNP.

Quickerthanavicar · 02/04/2018 10:38

Dear Daily Mail/Snowagain,
Had to sell the mirror, but I would have to insert the shards of glass into my eyes before I would vote Tory.

snowagain · 02/04/2018 10:40

@Quickerthanavicar

Thanks for your tedious, predictable comment.

See ya.

Gabby

Why why why don’t you listen. Tory puppets?? Do you really not believe that there are people just as passionate as you about the Labour Party who think Corbyn is a disaster?? Why are you so anxious to shut down debate and like tweetie hurl insults at posters.

It’s so sad.

snowagain · 02/04/2018 10:41

Not in Scotland @zippey

Always a pleasure

Gottagetmoving · 02/04/2018 10:42

I've spent years despairing the Labour party were leaning far too much to the right. It wasn't socialist anymore!
I'm bloody glad we now have Corbyn.
Its sad so many people believe the absolute crap that the right wing media are peddling about him.
I'm sick of the poor getting poorer, the nhs being destroyed and the way disabled and sick are being treated. I can't see any decent alternative to Labour.

crunchymint · 02/04/2018 10:43

That Corbyn is acting as he is is not a surprise. I can understand young adults being fooled, but anyone else should have realised what he would be like.

SnowJokeAnymore · 02/04/2018 10:44

The voters left with Corbyn now are devoted and don't seem to see anything but "smears". In opposing their world view you bolster their sense of grievance.

Best let them argue amongst themselves and if so minded sort out the wreck of conservatism in the UK

Mydoghatesthebath · 02/04/2018 10:44

Can I say first a Corby supporter did take teeetie to task for her/his racist misogynistic ageing and vile language.

Scabetty · 02/04/2018 10:44

Tweetie, away to do your homework. I have never had by opinions altered by aggressive arguments. I too have a hook-nose and am over 50 so find your comments pathetic but predictable.

crunchymint · 02/04/2018 10:45

gottagetmoving Do you think Corbyn has a chance of getting elected?

gamerwidow · 02/04/2018 10:45

I am currently seriously disillusioned with Labour. The piss poor response to anti semitism, the lack of leadership on Brexit, the failure to properly debate self id.
I still believe in Labour and we have some voices in the party worth listening to in Sadiq Kahn, Chaka Umunna, Lord Adonis, David Lammy, Stella Creasy.
I do think that unless there is real progress in the issues above I'll be switching to Lib Dem's or Green next election. As much as I desperately want the Tories our Labour has lost its way.
It's very saddening, I'm a member of the party and voted for Corbyn but I feel let down.

snowagain · 02/04/2018 10:46

Gabbyleo, Why why why don’t you listen. Tory puppets?? Do you really not believe that there are people just as passionate as you about the Labour Party who think Corbyn is a disaster?? Why are you so anxious to shut down debate and like tweetie hurl insults at posters.

It’s so sad.

Agree so much with this. You simply cannot reason with people whose views are so far left and who have been hypnotised by Corbyn.

I don't mean to 'hurl insults' but my guess is gabbyleo is about 19. She sounds very young. The only time I see/hear people talking like her, it's coming from 16 to 21 year olds. They mean well, but are clueless about the real world, they still live with their parents, they have never paid a single bill in their life (except their contract phone,) and they are influenced by their young pals.

Theresa May increased the number of Tory votes as well. The Lib Dem vote collapsed, so it was a two-horse race.

Credit where credit is due, Corbyn captured the student vote and Labour did well in university towns. But that was the low-hanging fruit. The longer Corbyn is in power, the less likely Labour is to win the centrist vote in the Tory marginals we need to win a majority. Labour should be 20 points ahead in the polls by now.

Gottagetmoving · 02/04/2018 10:47

@gottagetmoving Do you think Corbyn has a chance of getting elected?
Yes.

Unfinishedkitchen · 02/04/2018 10:47

I’m a committed Blairite. I WISH he would come back and save us from the Torys. The best thing for this country would be for right wing Labour MPs and left wing Conservatives (i.e centrists) to form a new party.

A party to the right on law and order and to the left on social issues which will be pro business and also invest in the state is what is needed. I predict they would do very well in elections.

Gabbyleo · 02/04/2018 10:47

Don't get how you can say the far left KS equal to the far right. That absurd. The far right caused slavery, discrimination oh yes and the holocaust! Can't compare the two

Alex3101 · 02/04/2018 10:47

I'd certainly be more inclined to vote for them now than in the past.
But you do have a choice of other parties, Lib Dem's are the Labour Party of Blair so I've you voted for him vote for them.
You could always vote Green as well.

Gabbyleo · 02/04/2018 10:47

GhostofFrankGrimes · 02/04/2018 10:48

Reduced to bashing "generation snowflake" now. How dare young people have an opinion!

ladymarian · 02/04/2018 10:48

I will vote Labour. Yes there are some issues in the party as with all the parties but I like Corbyn. I find the blatant bias of our media absolutely staggering and disturbing. No wonder we're stuck with the Tories
