To be devastated at the demise of the Labour Party, and to wonder how anyone can look at themselves in the mirror if they vote for Corbyn now?

Just that really.

Been a Labour supporter all my life, til the last election. Because hell will freeze over before I will vote for Jeremy Corbyn.

I am literally devastated at the demise of the Labour party, that has been systematically destroyed from the inside out, by Corbyn and his cronies, and by Corbyn's pathetic behaviour. From his denial of bad behaviour from his party, to the way he shuts down anyone who challenges him. (Including reporters, and his own people ..... if they don't agree with everything he says, he sacks them.)

In the last election, for the first time ever in my life, I was unable to vote, because I am not voting for Conservatives. (Even so, if I HAD to vote by law, I would vote for Conservatives before I would vote for Labour.)

The Labour party is dying a slow and painful death, and is a laughing stock. First of all we have the standing joke that is Corbyn, with his bizarre 'extreme-left' bollocks, and refusing to answer any questions that don't suit him, .......'Mr Corbyn what about the antisemitism in in your party?' 'YES it is a nice day isn't it? Thank you, goodbye!' Fucking twit! Hmm

And then we have his ludicrous and laughable cronies... Diane 'can't count for toffee' Abbott, Monroe 'bigoted ranty' Bergdorf, and now Eddie fucking Izzard in a dress. Hmm

Even people I know who were obsessive Corbynites a year or so ago, are cringing with embarrassment now, as he turns the party into more of a laughing stock every day. And as I said in the thread title, how can anyone POSSIBLY support him and the Labour party now?

That's it really. I am literally so gutted at the demise of my party.

Until Corbyn fucks off and takes his cronies with him, Labour is dead to me. And I know a LOT of people who think the same!

R.I.P. The Labour Party. 😢😢😢

You can’t but it has been reported in the media that isn’t right wing

And of course Corbyn’s faithful supporters shall come out once again to defend their leader

Problem facing the left fraction of the party is they haven’t got another leader lined up

Sadly the left has too much of a strong hold on the party as many long time members who are more to the centre, many who have been angered by the ineffectual actions to tackle anti semitism in the party have left

The left of the party bringing down to party and once again allowing Tories a third term history repeating itself

Helmetbymidnight · 03/04/2018 08:29

Glad to see Momentum make that statement.

Hopefully, some of the many MNers who declare Left-wing anti-semitism is made-up or smears will take notice.

David Baddiel's article in the Times may be helpful.

gussyfinknottle · 03/04/2018 08:31

I would have objected if he had gone to an Easter service at a Christian church too.
The worst kind of tokenism. Like dealing with an outcry over racial prejudice against the black community by going to Carnival.
What a jerk.

gussyfinknottle · 03/04/2018 08:32

I imagine some momentum kid in his publicity office saying "get a photo with Jews. They'll love you".

snowagain · 03/04/2018 08:33

@Samantha77hat

So much hate for the Tory’s simply because they are having to tighten the belt to clear up Labours borrowing mess.

And Corbyn’s solution: ramp up the spending again by borrowing a load more money.

People thinking that Corbyn will offer their children a brighter future: do you use payday loans to pay for household budget items? Or try and live within your means even if it means hard choices every month?

Exactly! Although I know some people do struggle and NEED to borrow extra money now and again when an emergency pops up, I have seen some people take out a £900 payday loan for Christmas presents for their kids! Confused I also see people on benefits with £700 smart phones. FFS live within your means!

And although I am no fan of the Tories, I have to agree with you Samantha. (Even if people DO keep trying to deny the hideous financial mess Labour left us in, with cries of 'oh but the TORIES have done this and the TORIES have done that' to try and deflect the pile of shit Labour left us in!)

Do these people bashing the Tories and singing the praises of Corbyn genuinely not SEE this? That the Tories are just mopping up the shit that was left after virtually a decade a half of Labour...!!! And can they genuinely not remember that bloody note from them when Cameron took over saying 'there's no money left...' ???

They fucked it up spectacularly, and although people are saying 'the national debt has gone up under Tories yada yada,' maybe so, but as has been said, they had no choice after the mess Labour left us in, and under Corbyn the country would sink without a trace.

He claims he will put money into EVERYthing; schools, social housing, paying off all student debt, ploughing billions into the NHS and the railways, and every fucking thing you can think of.

And that is not including letting everyone stay on benefits for their whole life, have as many kids as they want and as much money as they want to support them, and let anyone in the country who wants to come. No matter how cash-strapped we are, or how financially screwed we are, he will invite millions of non-brits in, to appear 'cool' to his little minions.

(Waits for the cries of 'racist' and 'bigot' and 'U obviously hate forinners!' ) Hmm

Believe it or not (and some of you won't,) I KNOW someone who knows Corbyn from the old days, (won't say too much as it may be revealing or identifying,) but they said he is an arrogant little shit who thinks everyone adores him. He is also not very bright, and got into the school and college he was in through his 'middle class connections' and not because of his intelligence.

Yes, middle class ... THAT is what your 'working class hero' is people. So while you are bowing down to him, and thinking he is the bee's bollocks, just remember, he only cares about himself and his image, and trying to appear 'right-on' with all the 'diversity' in the party, and he loves collecting little minions by saying what people want to hear..... He has no affinity with the working classes at all. Probably just as well, seeing as how he is gradually alienating them all.

It won't be long though before all his millennial minions see him for what he is (and older people who haven't seen through him yet, and see him as some kind of working class hero to worship!) Many people already HAVE seen that he's a prize twit, (including some of the Millennials I know who have seen the light.) So hopefully everyone else will see it soon, and we can get a decent leader for Labour and try to scrape something from the embers.

And to the little flowers who are getting all huffy that their Messiah is being called out; most people are not 'attacking' Corbyn, they are just calling him out for the useless leader he is.

Stop being so precious because many people are seeing him for what he is, and are voicing those views. It just makes you sound bitter and pathetic.

I’m not a Corbyn supporter.

But I think it shows more integrity to have spent Passover with a group of Jewish people who, like him, are opposed to the polices of the Israeli government than with a group that aren’t.

GhostofFrankGrimes · 03/04/2018 08:41

Snow, your post shows you are willing to dismiss the poor economic record since 2010 to defend your beloved Tories. Didn’t Osborne say he’d have the deficit cleared by 2015? How is that working out? If you look beyond the tabloid bullshit you’ll see that the 2008 crash was the result of global downturn. Some of us remember boom and bust, 3.5 million on the dole in the 80s under the Tories.

You talk about weak leaders. That describes May. Shit sound bites that insults the intelligence of the electorate. Lost a majority in a pointless election now reliant on the DUP. May can’t even face down the brexiteers in her party. Weak.

I walked past five people who had spent the night on the streets this morning

Loving the idea of needing “middle class connections” to get into The Polytechnic of North London to do Trade Union Studies! Grin

GhostofFrankGrimes · 03/04/2018 08:48

Fascinating how JC is accused of being out of touch middle class metropolitan at the same time as being a trade union supporting relic! Grin

Thymeout · 03/04/2018 08:48

Bertrand

These aren't Jews who disagree with the policies of the Israeli govt. They are Jews who think 'Israel is a pile of shit which should be properly disposed of'.

See the problem now?

And Corbyn didn't attend the event - for 4 hours - as an act of tokenism. These people are long standing friends of his.

merrymouse · 03/04/2018 08:49

I’m quite prepared to believe the Passover was planned a while ago, and I suppose the story has highlighted that Jewish people have different views.

The problem is that this group also vocally believe that all the critiscism was a just a right wing smear campaign. JC needs to make it clear whether he agrees with them on this. Otherwise it looks as though he is ignoring the problem and has just retreated to a safe space.

I am talking about the Grammar School he went to in Shropshire ... I would have thought you would have known he went there, being one of his minions. Grin

Jc has already spoken out against anti semitism but nothing ever appears to be good enough. It’s a shame as much time isn’t spent calling out bigotry and discrimination in other parties as well as addressing inequalities caused by government

GhostofFrankGrimes · 03/04/2018 08:56

Right so we are attacking JC for attending a grammar school as a child? Nice.

Snow, your post shows you are willing to dismiss the poor economic record since 2010 to defend your beloved Tories.

Yeah of course dear you're right. I just LOVE the Tories. Every one of my posts has screamed that from the rooftops hasn't it?

I have been well and truly called out by you. Well done you! YAY, THATCHER FOREVER. MY HERO!!!

I see you fail to address the Tories dire economic record over 40 years. Speaks volumes.

Thymeout · 03/04/2018 09:02

How can we believe any of Corbyn's mealy-mouthed utterances in the last week when he describes the people who demonstrated against a demonstration agains Anti-Semitism as 'good people'? (Remind you of anyone else?) Labour party members! And refuses to condemn attempts to deselect MPs who supported the Board of Deputies - 'it's a matter for the constituencies to decide'.

snowagain · 03/04/2018 09:04

You can rant on and on as much as you like @ghostofrankgrimes, but no-one is really listening. All you have done throughout this thread is repeat yourself over and over, desperately trying defend Corbyn and discredit the Tories, and shut down ANYone who doesn't love Corbyn, and worship him as you do.

No-one is changing their mind about the useless lump Corbyn. And I fail to see YOU address the decades of fuck-ups from Labour who almost bankrupted the country. You are so obsessed with Corbyn that you refuse to see his MANY flaws, and how utterly SHIT Labour are now.

Rant away, makes no difference to how shit Labour are now, and what a useless incompetent deluded twit Corbyn is.

Wake up and smell the coffee hun!

"Jc has already spoken out against anti semitism but nothing ever appears to be good enough. It’s a shame as much time isn’t spent calling out bigotry and discrimination in other parties as well as addressing inequalities caused by government"

Lip service. Followed by 'celebrating' passover with Jewdas.

Jewdas is a far-left group that has called for the destruction of Israel and that has dismissed claims that Corbyn has a problem with anti-semitism in his party as a ‘bout of faux-outrage’ and ‘the work of cynical manipulations by people whose express loyalty is to the Conservative Party and the right wing of the Labour Party’.

Jewdas members attending the Passover event were recorded booing the name of the President of the Board of Deputies of British Jews and said that the editor of the Jewish Chronicle newspaper Stephen Pollard is a ‘non-Jew’. How mature and anti semitic.

Corbyn's provocative attendance at this fringe group's passover event as well as appointing the ridiculous Eddie Izzard in response to the anti-semitism scandal show that he is openly trolling anyone who is not part of his extremist socialist Labour agenda. A self satisfied and callous fanatic grumpy old fool.

Ghost. The op isn't a Tory. Unless anyone who doesn't worship at JC's altar is a Tory. Is that what you believe.
On a another point, the Tories haven't been in office for 40 years. I'm very old and can remember Wilson pretty well. Or was he a Tory? Hmm

Moussemoose · 03/04/2018 09:09

Yes the Tories are crap. Is anyone disputing that?

Labour needs to be the party of opposition. Opposing the Tories and antisemitism it is possible to do both.

British elections are won and lost on the centre ground. People on the left are thrilled by Corbyn but Basingstoke won't vote for him. FPTP means you can't win without compromises or at least lying and promising compromises.

merrymouse · 03/04/2018 09:10

Jc has already spoken out against anti semitism but nothing ever appears to be good enough

No, just speaking out against anti semitism is not good enough.

Labour MPs and officials were still under the impression, days ago, that you don’t really need to check complaints of anti-semitism, and people wishing to stand for office who spread really nasty anti-semitic ideas just need to apologise or receive ‘training’. It’s not clear whether this has changed.

Social Media management has been amateur - Diane Abbott retweets support for Jeremy but doesn’t bother to check who she is retweeting. Corbyn can only delete his account.

Corbyn needs to lead his party.
