To be devastated at the demise of the Labour Party, and to wonder how anyone can look at themselves in the mirror if they vote for Corbyn now?

Just that really.

Been a Labour supporter all my life, til the last election. Because hell will freeze over before I will vote for Jeremy Corbyn.

I am literally devastated at the demise of the Labour party, that has been systematically destroyed from the inside out, by Corbyn and his cronies, and by Corbyn's pathetic behaviour. From his denial of bad behaviour from his party, to the way he shuts down anyone who challenges him. (Including reporters, and his own people ..... if they don't agree with everything he says, he sacks them.)

In the last election, for the first time ever in my life, I was unable to vote, because I am not voting for Conservatives. (Even so, if I HAD to vote by law, I would vote for Conservatives before I would vote for Labour.)

The Labour party is dying a slow and painful death, and is a laughing stock. First of all we have the standing joke that is Corbyn, with his bizarre 'extreme-left' bollocks, and refusing to answer any questions that don't suit him, .......'Mr Corbyn what about the antisemitism in in your party?' 'YES it is a nice day isn't it? Thank you, goodbye!' Fucking twit! Hmm

And then we have his ludicrous and laughable cronies... Diane 'can't count for toffee' Abbott, Monroe 'bigoted ranty' Bergdorf, and now Eddie fucking Izzard in a dress. Hmm

Even people I know who were obsessive Corbynites a year or so ago, are cringing with embarrassment now, as he turns the party into more of a laughing stock every day. And as I said in the thread title, how can anyone POSSIBLY support him and the Labour party now?

That's it really. I am literally so gutted at the demise of my party.

Until Corbyn fucks off and takes his cronies with him, Labour is dead to me. And I know a LOT of people who think the same!

R.I.P. The Labour Party. 😢😢😢

Thank you for noticing what anti-Zionism actually means, Bertrand. It pisses me off that people either don't realise it or pretend it doesn't matter.

BertrandRussell · 02/04/2018 16:58

The artist says that the figures in the mural are intended to represent actual people.. However the caricatures are so laden with racist stereotyping that they are obviously completely unacceptable.

neonyellowshoes · 02/04/2018 16:58

But it's got the freemasonry thing in it! What has that got to do with anything?

Tiny, you can see it but apparently an experienced politico likeCorbyn didn't see it immediately. He's either really shit or really lazy when it comes to biting back on antisemitism.
Either is not good.

Moussemoose · 02/04/2018 17:04

That mural is clearly, obviously and blatantly antisemitic.

It wouldn't look out of place in Germany in 1939.

No defense, no excuses stand up and point it out for what it is.

“Thank you for noticing what anti-Zionism actually means, Bertrand. It pisses me off that people either don't realise it or pretend it doesn't matter.”

Not a matter of noticing. The meaning has changed over time- it has become less nuanced. And so is no longer useful in this discussion.

BertrandRussell · 02/04/2018 17:09

“But it's got the freemasonry thing in it! What has that got to do with anything?
It's the same thing. It's all related to the propaganda used to cast Jewish people as figures to be hated.“

Since when has Freemasonry been anything to do with Judahism?

Mydoghatesthebath · 02/04/2018 17:14

In effect he face booked liked the mural as he’s always anxious to support a cause. IRA, Hammas, trans issues. He’s like s teenager wanting to shock and that’s his main problem. As is Dianne Abbott. There why the youngsters like him. That and the tuition fee lie

They have to apologise and apologise after racial slur after mid judgments etc.

They are agitators snd May well be good constituency MPS but front bench material.

Totally and utterly out of there depth.

Heyduggeesflipflop · 02/04/2018 17:15

In the weird world of leftist politics Jews and Freemasons have all the money and run the world.

Classic pro Palestinian worldview of a certain bent and not far from that practiced by a certain European nation during the 1930s

Bertrand. Anti Zionism has always meant "should Israel exist or not". It's a debate from my Dad's generation in the 30s as to whether Israel should exist or not.

Tinycitrus · 02/04/2018 17:18

I find it disturbing that knowledge of the history of the persecution and genocide of Jewish people seems to be fading or is being minimised or revised.

Moussemoose · 02/04/2018 17:20

Any party needs agitators, free thinkers, protesters they are good for ideas and keeping focus on the arguments.

These people are not leaders though, they do not make things happen. In politics you have to soil your hands with reality and they prefer the theory.

When you are a leader you need to be clear about something that is wrong even if that means sacking your friends ( yes Ken that means you) you need to fess up to past mistakes and move on.

Arguing about the nuance of that mural is shameful. There is no nuance it is clearly, wrong and offensive. A leader would say that loudly and clearly.

user3546546 · 02/04/2018 17:20

I find it so weird that all Jews are expected to be personally accountable for the actions of Israel yet when Coptic Christians are murdered in their hundreds in Egypt and Iran slaughters its homosexuals any criticism is instantly jumped upon as Islamophobia.

It's perfectly possible to be critical of the Government of Israel without believing that holocaust denial is ok or that Jews in Europe deserve to be beaten up.

Heyduggeesflipflop · 02/04/2018 17:23

Completely agree tinycitrus. Also disturbing that blatant propaganda isn’t see as such - cartoons and murals are important in that context in terms of alienating a group of people. To not realise that is to forget the lessons of history.

But labour are playing to their audience - that audience is no longer the white working class audience it used to be. Instead labour are in danger of climbing into bed with some very suspect elements indeed

Moussemoose · 02/04/2018 17:23

Freemasonry and Illuminati are linked to the 'Protocols of the Elders of Zion'. All conspiracy theory nonsense about secret societies, bankers and capitalists who want to control and oppress.

Some on the left give credence to the view that Judaism funds capitalism.

This is all bilge. Nonsense. Vile, hate filled propaganda of the worst kind.

PoppyCracker · 02/04/2018 17:25

Andy Burnham could do with creating his own new party or just waiting for labour to totally implode and become new new new old labour and would probably be running the country within the next 2 elections.

gussyfinknottle · 02/04/2018 17:26

Andy Burnham jumps on any bandwagon going. Maybe he could jump on the sane bandwagon.

Mydoghatesthebath · 02/04/2018 17:27

Clearly right mouss it’s likf his supporters are a cult.

I think it’s very frightening actually.

But for evil to flourish good people just need to sit back and do nothing.

Heyduggeesflipflop · 02/04/2018 17:27

Perhaps a better question is how can labour restore credibility as a party of government?

Firstly corbyn and his crowd need to reach compromise with the parliamentary Labour Party and stop fighting over internal reigns of power. Then he needs a credible front bench (getting rid of the abbotts and the Williamson’s). Then they need to come up with workable policies that won’t bankrupt us overnight. We need a credible opposition!

Heyduggeesflipflop · 02/04/2018 17:28

Oh and stop hating Jews (and Britain) of course...

Mydoghatesthebath · 02/04/2018 17:28

If Yvette had won the leadership I think she would have beaten May.

Mydoghatesthebath · 02/04/2018 17:29

He’s not credible though or sensible so it won’t work.
