To be devastated at the demise of the Labour Party, and to wonder how anyone can look at themselves in the mirror if they vote for Corbyn now?

Just that really.

Been a Labour supporter all my life, til the last election. Because hell will freeze over before I will vote for Jeremy Corbyn.

I am literally devastated at the demise of the Labour party, that has been systematically destroyed from the inside out, by Corbyn and his cronies, and by Corbyn's pathetic behaviour. From his denial of bad behaviour from his party, to the way he shuts down anyone who challenges him. (Including reporters, and his own people ..... if they don't agree with everything he says, he sacks them.)

In the last election, for the first time ever in my life, I was unable to vote, because I am not voting for Conservatives. (Even so, if I HAD to vote by law, I would vote for Conservatives before I would vote for Labour.)

The Labour party is dying a slow and painful death, and is a laughing stock. First of all we have the standing joke that is Corbyn, with his bizarre 'extreme-left' bollocks, and refusing to answer any questions that don't suit him, .......'Mr Corbyn what about the antisemitism in in your party?' 'YES it is a nice day isn't it? Thank you, goodbye!' Fucking twit! Hmm

And then we have his ludicrous and laughable cronies... Diane 'can't count for toffee' Abbott, Monroe 'bigoted ranty' Bergdorf, and now Eddie fucking Izzard in a dress. Hmm

Even people I know who were obsessive Corbynites a year or so ago, are cringing with embarrassment now, as he turns the party into more of a laughing stock every day. And as I said in the thread title, how can anyone POSSIBLY support him and the Labour party now?

That's it really. I am literally so gutted at the demise of my party.

Until Corbyn fucks off and takes his cronies with him, Labour is dead to me. And I know a LOT of people who think the same!

R.I.P. The Labour Party. 😢😢😢

What Tiggy said upthresd.

My worry is Corbyn and his supporters isn’t interested in winning elections so even when he looses his supporters will back him.,

And there’s not a dam thing back bench labour MPs can do.

He’s got his one aim. Dessimsting the Labour Party. Honestly sometimes I wonder if the whole momentum thing is actually a clever right wing strategy to keep the tories in power.

Gottagetmoving · 02/04/2018 16:04

but I read that the mural depicts financiers who are not Jewish as well as ones who are; it's about elite bankers, not about Jewish people. And that the symbol that many people are describing as being that of the Illuminati is actually that of the Freemasons, not so squarely associated with Jewish people

Exactly....but so called non prejudiced people see the images and 'see' Jewish people....go figure!
There are anti Semites in the Labour party....and the Tory party...and the lib dems. There are homophobes in the Tory party, in particular.
But let's ignore what the Tories are doing to the poor and the sick and the young in this country...and blame Labour.

The left eating themselves does not require any Tory interference. The purity tests have always been going on.

BMW6 · 02/04/2018 16:08

short saint
Entrenched misogyny and racism within the Labour Party is not "a storm in a teacup". They have lost the moral high ground.

gussyfinknottle · 02/04/2018 16:08

Corbyn lets antisemites and Holocaust deniers get away with it. There should be no space for them anywhere.
He shows an inability to exercise good judgement.
And suggesting that those who fear antisemitism shouldn't have read that into the scummy mural are just victim blaming. Maybe whoever says it is ok simply aren't old enough to remember what the Goebbels playbook looks like. But Corbyn is old enough.

gamerwidow · 02/04/2018 16:10

Tbf while I think he has handled the complaints about antisemitism badly my main issue with Corbyn is the lack of leadership over Brexit. I think the antisemitism while a serious issue is a bit of a red herring.

Justanotherlurker · 02/04/2018 16:10

@Gottagetmoving

Whatabout-ism at its finest.

Not everything should revert to "muh evil tories"

Corbyn should be taking it to the current government (if he was capable other than being a populist), the amount of own goals he scores does not even need any "right wing media propaganda"

gussyfinknottle · 02/04/2018 16:12

It's only a red herring if you and your children aren't directly affected by the rise of antisemitism.
His Brexit failure is just icing on the cake of feebleness for me.

Mydoghatesthebath · 02/04/2018 16:12

just you have a point there.

What’s to do though? I think it may have been the right time to divide the party while all the labour MPs were resigning but I think it’s too late now and as been said break away parties are very problematic.

It’s another thatcher era and militant tendency again but this time they may finally have destroyed what we in the labour movement hold so very dear.

gussyfinknottle · 02/04/2018 16:13

I won't vote Labour. I could stomach a lot but not this shit.

VeronicaLodge · 02/04/2018 16:14

ever heard the expression ‘play the ball not the man’? We are returning to being a sovereign nation state. I couldn’t give two hoots if you don’t like that.

Then stop bleating on and on. Brexit hasn't happened yet...

Mydoghatesthebath · 02/04/2018 16:21

lets ignore what the tories are doing to the poor and the sick and blame labour

Her majesty’s opposition should be holding them to account!!!!!! That’s what this thread is about!!!!

Total and utter lack of credible opposition and a party to vote for.

gamerwidow · 02/04/2018 16:27

gussy very true I should have said antisemitism is not the only is

gamerwidow · 02/04/2018 16:28

Is not the only issue not that it's a red herring. I think we need to take the lead from the Jewish community about what is and isn't antisemetic.

Mydoghatesthebath · 02/04/2018 16:36

Agree Gamer

Gottagetmoving · 02/04/2018 16:39

Whatabout-ism at its finest. Not everything should revert to "muh evil tories

When there are posts that demonstrate that people believe all the crap fed to them about Corbyn, then, yes,...we have to point out what the Tories are doing, because it's bloody relevant and one of the reasons the Tories and supporters are doing their best to smear him.

IntelligentYetIndecisive · 02/04/2018 16:41

"Play the ball, not the man"

The ball is covered in shit, the playing field has been rigged against women (all women, black, Asian, oriental and white) and the people supposedly on our team are happy to elbow us in the face and stamp on our heads.

EnthusiasmIsDisturbed · 02/04/2018 16:43

I totally agree op

I would never vote for Labour while Corbyn and co are running it having done so all my life and been a party member

I gave up my membership last year as I didn’t want to be counted as a party member and was only holding on to vote Corbyn out

Anyone who claims to be against anti semitism who is a member should be giving up their membership now as it has clearly become a party that isn’t concerned and doesn’t seen this as a problem

neonyellowshoes · 02/04/2018 16:46

Isn't that mural about the Freemasons?

RedHelenB · 02/04/2018 16:50

The likelihood is that JC won't be PM. He has a hell of a lot more principles than most Tories and some of his own party. He has been elected leader and that's an end to it. The telegraph has it's own agenda to push.

Mydoghatesthebath · 02/04/2018 16:51

Gottag

If it’s purely Tory smearing why do you honestly think life long Labour Party members and life long Labour Party voters are on this thread pleading with people like you to see the situation as it really is. Do you think we are stupid? Naive?

You are blind in your hero worship and cult status of this man. Why?

Yes, I used to use anti Zionist to describe being opposed to the activity of the government of Israel. However, I now understand that for some people, anti Zionist means being opposed to the whole existence of the state of Israel. And because I am not, I have stopped using it.

Tinycitrus · 02/04/2018 16:54

That mural echoes the anti Semitic propaganda we shown st school when we studied the Second World War.

Even I can see that.

neonyellowshoes · 02/04/2018 16:57

Does nobody else think it's quite insane, that a political party is tearing itself apart over a tiny country hundreds of miles away? I doubt the Israeli's or the Palestinian's give a shit what we think. The Labour Party needs to drop the obsession with it (along with the trans stuff). It's all a distraction.
