To be devastated at the demise of the Labour Party, and to wonder how anyone can look at themselves in the mirror if they vote for Corbyn now?

Just that really.

Been a Labour supporter all my life, til the last election. Because hell will freeze over before I will vote for Jeremy Corbyn.

I am literally devastated at the demise of the Labour party, that has been systematically destroyed from the inside out, by Corbyn and his cronies, and by Corbyn's pathetic behaviour. From his denial of bad behaviour from his party, to the way he shuts down anyone who challenges him. (Including reporters, and his own people ..... if they don't agree with everything he says, he sacks them.)

In the last election, for the first time ever in my life, I was unable to vote, because I am not voting for Conservatives. (Even so, if I HAD to vote by law, I would vote for Conservatives before I would vote for Labour.)

The Labour party is dying a slow and painful death, and is a laughing stock. First of all we have the standing joke that is Corbyn, with his bizarre 'extreme-left' bollocks, and refusing to answer any questions that don't suit him, .......'Mr Corbyn what about the antisemitism in in your party?' 'YES it is a nice day isn't it? Thank you, goodbye!' Fucking twit! Hmm

And then we have his ludicrous and laughable cronies... Diane 'can't count for toffee' Abbott, Monroe 'bigoted ranty' Bergdorf, and now Eddie fucking Izzard in a dress. Hmm

Even people I know who were obsessive Corbynites a year or so ago, are cringing with embarrassment now, as he turns the party into more of a laughing stock every day. And as I said in the thread title, how can anyone POSSIBLY support him and the Labour party now?

That's it really. I am literally so gutted at the demise of my party.

Until Corbyn fucks off and takes his cronies with him, Labour is dead to me. And I know a LOT of people who think the same!

R.I.P. The Labour Party. 😢😢😢

Veronicalodge - you could always just go elsewhere and live in your beloved eu, no?

No thanks I'll stay here. Can't abandon the country to the likes of you. It doesn't deserve that much hardship.

ForalltheSaints · 02/04/2018 14:52

Biggest act of self harm ever committed on this country

I would say economic self-harm myself.

The Labour Party could have campaigned for a Brexit for all not just the rich, so for the customs union right from the beginning, for keeping the provisions of the social chapter, just for starters. They could have held the Brexiteers and the government to an extra £350m per week for the NHS (it's not much more than the BMA argue for to avoid summer crises on the lines of winter).

neonyellowshoes · 02/04/2018 14:52

Well he is an MP

Mydoghatesthebath · 02/04/2018 14:53

He’s won elections of the converted.

Again and this is getting boring now to win the contest that actually matters the general election you need to be credible to the north, the Midlands, the south of the country, wales etc not just London centric voters.

Ljlsmum · 02/04/2018 14:54

I’m not reading the full thread but I can quite happily vote labour now. I’d much rather have him in power that that wretched May who can’t even answer a question about why poor families can’t have free school meals but her and the rest of them can have subsidised meals and alcohol on tap. I will never vote for a Tory. The NHS is a mess, people are starving, there’s more homeless people on the streets than I’ve ever seen in my lifetime. Oh and don’t get me started on the smear campaigns about anti Semitism. If anyone dares to defend Palestine they’re called anti-semitic.

Heyduggeesflipflop · 02/04/2018 14:54

Where corbyn is an mp you could dress up a clown with a red rosette and it would win the seat. London is now a foreign country

SnowJokeAnymore · 02/04/2018 14:55

Your picking this up quick neon despite all that sorting through the washing!

VeronicaLodge · 02/04/2018 14:56

Oh and don’t get me started on the smear campaigns about anti Semitism.

And this is one of the problems. The highlighting of clear incidences of anti semitism being shouted down as a 'smear campaign'.

Mydoghatesthebath · 02/04/2018 14:56

if anyone dares defend Palestine they are anti semetic

Utter Bollocks.

neonyellowshoes · 02/04/2018 14:57

Washing done m'dear. But it doesn't take a politics student to know that he is an MP.

GhostofFrankGrimes · 02/04/2018 14:57

It’s less than a year since 127 million was spent on an election in which May was supposed to “crush the saboteurs” and get a huge majority.

When this didn’t happen the magic money tree was shook down for 1.5 billion to win the vital support of a party not exactly renowned for their diversity. A wafer thin majority that makes consensus on Brexit much harder. Oh how we forget.

Whizbang · 02/04/2018 14:57

MyDog....I agree with just about everything you have said on this thread and you have made some excellent points.

However, just one correction to your previous post...JC is no longer credible in London either!

ghostyslovesheets · 02/04/2018 14:58

And this is one of the problems. The highlighting of clear incidences of anti semitism being shouted down as a 'smear campaign

yup - all debate and decent shut down - you tow the line or you are a Blairite/Tory/media brainwashed/it's all a smear

putting your fingers in your ears and saying there are NO issues in this party is daft

Heyduggeesflipflop · 02/04/2018 14:58

Veronicalodge - ever heard the expression ‘play the ball not the man’? We are returning to being a sovereign nation state. I couldn’t give two hoots if you don’t like that. Your side made its arguments and lost. Stop living in the past and get behind Britain.

Unless of course you are just another one of the toxic labour antifa supporting faux militant types in which case kindly bore off

PoorYorick · 02/04/2018 14:58

if anyone dares defend Palestine they are anti semetic

Not this shite again.

SnowJokeAnymore · 02/04/2018 14:59

I thought he was head of the Islington allotment association gone rogue.

Whizbang · 02/04/2018 15:00

Don’t be fooled by those shouting in the shrillest voices. Racism seldom goes down well in London and the recent anti-semitism is losing them many supporters.

TheWizardofWas · 02/04/2018 15:01

Labour and proud. Jewish and proud. Extreme left and proud. So do one OP.

GhostofFrankGrimes · 02/04/2018 15:03

The UK is already a sovereign nation state, brexit white paper stated as much. Remarkable how much bs people can swallow.

Heyduggeesflipflop · 02/04/2018 15:03

Currently a vote for labour is political illiteracy. In their quest to upset no one they end up representing no one (save the cranks and loons)

For those who at the would vote labour because of the Tory approach to the nhs understand this - if the economy crashes there willl be no money for anything, though I suppose that would at least achieve the cherished goal of total equality.

BrendasUmbrella · 02/04/2018 15:04

It feels odd to be homeless politically. At this point, if the Tories humanized themselves by about 10% and stopped demonizing the disabled, they might actually get my vote...

GhostofFrankGrimes · 02/04/2018 15:04

Corbyn has been smeared since he became Labour leader. Hardly surprising people are sceptical or switch off. MSM over egged their pudding.

Heyduggeesflipflop · 02/04/2018 15:05

Ghostoffrankgrimes - you are wrong but there is little point arguing with you. In any event you lost so suck it up :) Independence Day beckons - grab your Irish or other eu passport while you can!

shortsaint · 02/04/2018 15:06

Please someone explain why they are considered anti-semites?

I honestly do not understand and I am not stupid!

My personal opinion is that it's derailing the Tory threat from Labour by the right wing press barons. And deflecting from the total ballsup that is Brexit.

BertrandRussell · 02/04/2018 15:07

I don't think anyone- on this thread at least, is saying that there is no anti semitism in the Labour Party. There is anti Semitism in society. But the accusations directed at Corbyn seem to be mainly associated with his support for Palestinian causes. It is nieve in the extreme to say that Israel has nothing to do with it.
