To be devastated at the demise of the Labour Party, and to wonder how anyone can look at themselves in the mirror if they vote for Corbyn now?

Just that really.

Been a Labour supporter all my life, til the last election. Because hell will freeze over before I will vote for Jeremy Corbyn.

I am literally devastated at the demise of the Labour party, that has been systematically destroyed from the inside out, by Corbyn and his cronies, and by Corbyn's pathetic behaviour. From his denial of bad behaviour from his party, to the way he shuts down anyone who challenges him. (Including reporters, and his own people ..... if they don't agree with everything he says, he sacks them.)

In the last election, for the first time ever in my life, I was unable to vote, because I am not voting for Conservatives. (Even so, if I HAD to vote by law, I would vote for Conservatives before I would vote for Labour.)

The Labour party is dying a slow and painful death, and is a laughing stock. First of all we have the standing joke that is Corbyn, with his bizarre 'extreme-left' bollocks, and refusing to answer any questions that don't suit him, .......'Mr Corbyn what about the antisemitism in in your party?' 'YES it is a nice day isn't it? Thank you, goodbye!' Fucking twit! Hmm

And then we have his ludicrous and laughable cronies... Diane 'can't count for toffee' Abbott, Monroe 'bigoted ranty' Bergdorf, and now Eddie fucking Izzard in a dress. Hmm

Even people I know who were obsessive Corbynites a year or so ago, are cringing with embarrassment now, as he turns the party into more of a laughing stock every day. And as I said in the thread title, how can anyone POSSIBLY support him and the Labour party now?

That's it really. I am literally so gutted at the demise of my party.

Until Corbyn fucks off and takes his cronies with him, Labour is dead to me. And I know a LOT of people who think the same!

R.I.P. The Labour Party. 😢😢😢

Corbyn's promises of improving the lot of the less well off in society mean sweet FA as long as he's tacitly supporting a Tory Brexit. Their lot will become considerably worse.

There are a number of articles in newspapers that you should go read. The Guardian would be a good place to start. Or BBC online.
I presume you have just landed on the planet or have awoken from a coma.

GhostofFrankGrimes · 02/04/2018 13:52

The Labour Party is simply not credible - what is wrong with you all!!!?

Hmm
user3546546 · 02/04/2018 13:59

I agree OP. I now think of the Labour party as a left-wing version of the BNP. Crazy times. I couldn't vote for a racist party in good conscience.

VeronicaLodge · 02/04/2018 14:04

The whole situation makes it all the more obvious that FPTP is an undemocratic system. It's always going to be a battle between the same two parties even though huge swathes of people don't want either.

Mydoghatesthebath · 02/04/2018 14:04

Nix people on here are grown up. I am 54 and a life long labour voter but left that membership because of Corbyn snd momentum

TheWernethWife · 02/04/2018 14:10

All this just before local elections in May, more Tory smears and bullshit. I'm not happy with Brexit (remainer) but many labour voters that I know did elect to leave and I have to respect their wishes.

Mydoghatesthebath · 02/04/2018 14:12

more Tory smears snd bullshit

Oh dear when will this new brand of Corbyn worshipper ever listen

BertrandRussell · 02/04/2018 14:12

People just don't understNd how democracy works.

VeronicaLodge · 02/04/2018 14:12

I don't feel any need to respect the way Brexit is going. Biggest act of self harm ever committed on this country.

VeronicaLodge · 02/04/2018 14:14

Especially as it's emerging the tactics Leave used to win. Respect that? No thank you.

gamerwidow · 02/04/2018 14:20

It seems to be the argument by some that if you are against antisemitism on the left or against Labour’s stance on Brexit then you are pro Tory.
That argument is childish in the extreme. If you can't hold your own side to the same standards you'd hold the opposition too then you have no standards at all.
I have never and never will vote Tory. I hate what they stand for and think they have demonised the poor and are destroying the NHS.
I can still want better from Labour. If you follow any party without question it's just bigotry. There isn't a general election around the corner. We have time on the left to ask ourselves hard questions of our conduct and make the necessary changes so we are ready and united when the next election comes.

Labour may have issues but they offer real solutions and a serious alternative to the hard right austerity bull crap peddled by the Tories.

Jazzybeats, Labour has said it will continue the £7bn austerity programme outlined by Osborne. They're also whistling quite happily all the way to a hard Brexit so no, they're not offering an alternative.

Which is no surprise from a man who sided with the Tories over his own party almost 500 times.

Heyduggeesflipflop · 02/04/2018 14:26

Why do these discussions always come back to bloody Brexit: you lost get over it.

Ps - your man corbyn has been historically and consistently anti eu until he ditched the commie hat/ messiah garb and started wearing a suit. Now he is deliberately ambiguous. Do you really expect anti Brexit conviction from someone like that?

VeronicaLodge · 02/04/2018 14:27

Why do you think? Fire up that lonely brain cell and try and give it some thought.

TheWernethWife · 02/04/2018 14:38

Mydog you know nothing about me. I'm 60+ and have always voted labour so not a new brand of Corbyn worshipper. I've seen how the NHS and Education has been run down by the Tories and their hatred of the disabled. Plenty of magic money available when they want something.

Mydoghatesthebath · 02/04/2018 14:46

Wife

Matters not a jot because Corbyn is unelectable

Heyduggeesflipflop · 02/04/2018 14:49

Veronicalodge - you could always just go elsewhere and live in your beloved eu, no?

But back to the thread - corbyn is a false prophet and a busted flush

neonyellowshoes · 02/04/2018 14:50

He's won an awful lot of elections, for an unelectable man.

I know that much!

Bluelady · 02/04/2018 14:51

As a lifelong Labour voter, like many others, I'm politically homeless. I liked Corbyn and voted for him last year but I can't now vote for a party so mired in antisemitism and misogyny. Unfortunately - or perhaps fortunately - where I live they weigh the Tory votes so mine makes no difference whatsoever.

SnowJokeAnymore · 02/04/2018 14:51

Has he won any outside of the labour party?

Heyduggeesflipflop · 02/04/2018 14:52

What elections has he won? He is an accidental leader of the party now propped by dreamers and loons.
